You will not be disappointed Ded.
In fact, while listening, I’ll bet you’ll feel like lifting… even though this may be a day off!

Ah, good to hear my friend since coincidentally, I will be hitting squats tonight.

You speak the truth -Kirk is his wah wah pedal.

For those who don’t like the brick-walling of the cd -download the Guitar Hero 3 rips -they sound much better. And Lars has said himself, he doesn’t care.

the unforgiven III is verging on EMO

what is the story behind the songs… who does he want to forgive him?
I think it has something to do with his Mother dieing of cancer when he was a teenager…

My ears are still ringing from seeing these guys in concert last night. What a fuckin show that was.

The Sword started things off with a tight and crisp 30-min. set. We were given a special treat as Down followed and played for 45 min. For those that don’t know Down, it’s kind of a metal supergroup with 2 members of Pantera - Rex and Phil. Anselmo is a strong front man and his screams are legendary. Music was good, too.

Metallica followed and played for over 2 hours! The songs off Death Magnetic sounded GREAT live, of which they played five. It seemed the people were into Broken, Beaten, Scarred and Cyanide the most out of the new tracks. They played Ride The Lightning, which was cool for me as I’ve never heard them play that one live, and it’s one of my favorite songs.

No songs off Load or St. Anger. Memory Remains was the only post-Black album song they played. Speaking of which, they played 4 songs off the Black album, 3 off Kill 'Em All, 2 off Lightning, 2 off Puppets and 1 off Justice.

These guys still have it live, that’s for sure.

This album has been growing on me the more I listen to it (but, what do I know-- I liked St. Anger…)

I envy you. Will try and make the Seattle concert on Dec. 1.
I hope you do get a chance to attend. You definitely get your money’s worth.

The Sword is a band to keep your eye on, too, if you’re into metal. The vocals need some work, but the guitars/drums are really strong.

I’ve seen them 6 times. Awesome live. Even their shit Black album sounds awesome live. Both Loads suck no matter how you hear it though.

What’s wrong with the vocals? They’re very similar to most stoner/sludge.

I like to at least be able to understand what the singer is signing about. I seriously couldn’t make out a single word during the entire performance.

I haven’t heard their recorded stuff yet, so perhaps that’ll give me a better indication of what he sounds like.
