Yes that seems like it would work better in my opinion. I have Root Beer float Surge right now and I love the taste. It is the first bottle I ever bought so that is all I know.
I use Metabolic Drive for meals, along with other foods, to boost my daily protein intake.
I use Surge pre/during/post workout.
As for flavors, I love chocolate and vanilla Metabolic Drive. Vanilla is exceptionally versatile if you enjoy mixing other foods/flavors right into your shake.
I’m pretty much obsessed with the original Surge, but chocolate is right up there. Wild raspberry is a nice change of pace from time to time. I haven’t tried root beer yet, but I do have a tub of it.

Surge is a PWO drink thats why it says it on the bottle. And Metabolic Drive is a protein shake thats supposed to be an easy way to get a good meal in during the day. So I guess the awnser is yes. Use the PWO drink post work out, and use the meal replacement drink for meal replacement.

Yes, switching to Surge PWO would be a lot better. I like chocolate the best. Keep the creatine in the Surge PWO.
Surge is specifically made to be the best PWO shake you can have. Metabolic Drive has casein in it which is a slow absorbing protein. Its good for before bed or as a MRP but would’nt be optimal for post workout conditions.
Surge original is so good that I look forward to hitting the iron now just so I can ‘earn’ my Surge. Tastes amazing.
Will have to try Root Beer next and then maybe Rasberry.
I bought 4 tubs of Metabolic Drive, 2 strawberry and 2 chocolate because I had two separate recipes I planned to use. I ended up mixing 1 scoop strawberry with 1 scoop chocolate and love the taste.
My current shake of choice:
1 scoop strawberry Metabolic Drive
1 scoop chocolate Metabolic Drive
1 tbsp macademia nut oil
2 tbsp flax meal
2 tsp acacia fiber
1 effervescent multi vitamin (strawberry)
1 tbsp pure cocoa powder
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
few scoops of Omegazyme digestive enzyme
16 oz water, some ice cubes
Tastes great.
Oh, and the 4 tubs was meant to last a month if I planned on having 2 shakes per day at 2 scoops per shake.

I’d definitely recommend using Surge post-workout. Metabolic Drive is just to get extra protein throughout the day. Experiment with timing and servings to find out what works for you.
I prefer to have 2 3-scoop Metabolic Drive shakes per day; one preworkout, and one maybe an hour before bed.
