Metabolic Diet Questions

For anyone following or has followed the metabolic/anabolic diet. Did you experience the light headed and fogginess like when followiing a ketogenic plan? Just feeling weird and want to make sure this is normal.

This is common with low carb diets. Try adding is post-workout carbs at least. See the T-Dawg Diet 2.0 on this site.

Yes it is normal as your body learns to burn ketones for energy.

nhiron, as you’re seeing from the responses thus far, the fogginess, headaches and mental and physical lethargy are part of making the metabolic shift from being a sugar burner to being a fat burner.

Take full advantage of coffee or green tea to give you a little bit of a kick. And personally, I found PowerDrive and pregnenolone helped me get through the shift/transition.

The good news, though, is that the fogginess doesn’t last that long. Hang tough. The pay-off is HIGHER levels of mental alertness and energy levels.

Bump

Not to flame you but what is the bump for?

Seems you ? was answered. Do you have further questions on this???

Phill

I’ve been on a low-carb cutting diet for about 5 weeks, (about between 50-100 grams/ day) and the first two weeks i felt like sh*t. i had blurry vision, no energy, really low blood pressure for some reason, but after those first couple weeks i feel totally fine and have plenty of energy despite the dieting. so if you just started give it some time.
