Messed Myself Up with SARMs and Finasteride (Update: Restart Successful)

My epididymis has been twitching like crazy some days. Feels fucking weird. I hope this is a good sign.

These studies are good to read.

I don’t see they mention what happens if clomid is dropped. Are you suppose to take for life?

Yeah it’s kinda dumb not to do post treatment follow up. I believe AAS induced hypogonadism is more likely to have a success at maintaining test level after cessation of clomid/nolva. Majority of times it is unfortunately for life, then it would probably better to do TRT, if fertility is not the main concern of course.

I asked because before I started TRT I tried clomid but only for a month. and it did increase my testicle size in that month but then you know all the reading I did that clomid’s bad bad bad I switched to injections.

Right, did you run any cycles or were you symptomatic «naturally»?. Thing with Clomid is it will raise T but shbg will also rise to the point that it wont provide any symtom relief. It is mostly to keep fertility. I think people say it’s bad because it doesn’t provide symptom relief, but also the mood swings and the risk of ocular damage. How long did you run the Clomid and for what reason?

Check this out. Basically I had a meltdown night sweats heart palpitations no libido no erections almost like acutely over a month and that’s when I checked my testosterone levels and they were very low. I think there’s a small possibility that I had some type of temporary illness. But I’m not sure

so the December 4th readings are with clomid .you can see I started clomid on November 7th. Before then I was on nothing

How was your diet/lifestyle during first bloodtest? Honestly your T after round of Clomid did not seem that low, although not optimal. Seems to be fluctuating quite some bit both thyroid and t levels. Did you feel any different on Clomid? Good/bad?

Hey man, just checking in to see how you are feeling on TRT?

Hey bro, getting some bloods done tomorrow to see where I’m at. Been 5-6 weeks now, I’m moving to pharma grade testosterone starting tomorrow (been using UGL while I got a script sorted).

Difficult to say the changes are slow. It’s not like I instantaneously noticed improvements for example, but rather I’m noticing small changes in every aspect of my life, for example better energy, stamina, improved performance during sport, etc. I am 100% stronger in the gym. I actually feel normal again while working out, rather than feeling fatigued & lethargic and just pushing myself through the workout via mental willpower if that makes sense.

I’m still dealing with some CFS type symptoms, like excercise intolerance and post exertion malaise. I think I was going way to hard in the gym with all my extra energy and just completely fried myself. Was so excited about feeling good again I couldn’t help myself. It literally takes me like 5-7 days to recover from a workout … So I’ve taken some time off from heavy exercise and going to have to build it up slowly.

Health is complex and recovery takes time. I was talking to a fella with PFS who cured himself with TRT, and he said it took 6 months for him to notice massive improvements in the way he felt, the body just takes time to change I’m guessing. Just trying my best to not be neurotic and overanalyse things, just going to be consistent and give it time and patience, and avoiding forums as much as possible

But I’ve been catching up with friends like daily, going out to the pub, playing volleyball, going camping this weekend. Trying to go for walks and bike rides daily.

Still no morning wood or libido.

I was also dealing with some neuro issue, I’ve detailed it previously in this thread, I just felt wired, overstimulated, fried, hyperaroused, hypersensitive to stimulation etc, leading to horrible insomnia. It’s like my GABA system was totally dysregulated. I’m taking low dose Fluoxetine to help with neurosteroids and allopregnanlone, seems to be really helping with that issue.

Still not 100% but I’m sure I will get there with time!

How are you going with your clomid man? Any luck?

If you go to such labs . Com, they have progesterone powder you can take. Progesterone has positive effects on the gaba, dopamine and regulatory system.

I started one week ago and been taking 5mg. At the very least, my sleep has been extraordinarily better since taking it.

If you get it, make sure to mix it well with MCT oil as it has a very poor absorption rate otherwise. I literally throw the powder in my mouth and gulp a tablespoon of MCT oil, swish it around until it dissolves and swallow it.

Thanks man, progesterone is good stuff, I’ve got some cream, hard to say if I noticed a difference while using it though, I’ll implement it back into my routine and see how I go! cheers

Good sign that you’re noticing improvements in strength and and recovery! I Imagine it will get better with time aswell! My clomid didn’t make it through shipping, so I’m just going to wait a couple more months before I eventually try TRT. Totally understand you wanting to stay away from the forum. I wish you good luck with your journey, time is key!

Keep in touch man

Update.

6wks 250mg/wk EOD injections TRT puts me at TT 58.7 nmol/L (8.0-27.8) and FT at 1446 pmol/L (200-600). Exactly where I want them to be. No AI, E2 at 255 pmol/L (<150). Perfect.

50mg Prescription Natural Dessicated Thyroid (41g T4 + 9 T3) brings my TSH down to 1.48 (0.4-4.0)

2.5mg Fluoxetine and 5mg progesterone cream per day for neurosteroids and allopregnanlone.

Sleep stack:

  • 0.75g Melatonin IR,
  • 250mg Ashwagandha Sensoril
  • 300mg Phosphatidylserine
  • 500mg Magnesium (from Magnesium Glycinate).
I was having awful sleep maintanance insomnia, waking up with massive cortisol spikes during the night, now I sleep great.

Difficult to say how I am progressing. My symptoms are really up and down. Still too early to comment on whether TRT treatment has been a success or a failure. Just going to be patient, give it time and trust the process. Still zero libido, no sex drive, no morning erections. My family have been saying they’re noticing big changes in me, so is a massive positive sign.

Gut microbiome test came back with indications of dysbiosis. A deficieny in Lactobacillus and overgrowth in streptococcus and Enterococcus. Going to try treat this with probiotics and get my stool checked again in 3-6 months.

I guess we call this trt now. :scream_cat:

Just saw an article about how AAS can accelerate brain aging. Doesn’t sound like for trt. Note- I am not saying this is what you are in for.
Just one paper that am sure can be disputed.

Haha. Definitely not TRT for a normal person. For me, the goal is to experiment and see how I react at higher androgens to treat PFS.

Interesting study. I for sure don’t plan to sit at 250mg/wk and 1700ng/dl indefinitely. The long term objective would be to find the minimum effective dose to alleviate symptoms and maintain healthy blood work  this is a last resort option, fingers crossed!

I wonder if the accelerated brain aging was also correlated with aromatase inhibitor use?

There are actually a few papers now + rodent models linking AAS to neurodegeneration. That being said, dose + duration is quite hefty

Here it’s 1000mg/wk + avg dose for around a decade of cumulative use

Any updates? How’s your trial going, man?

250 does not seem too bad.

It only exceeds natural levels by a double digit percentage. 1000 goes way outside the range of normal functions.

Here are my new bloodtest results

Shbg has dropped down from 54 to 41

Total T has gone up from 576 to 601 ng/dl

LH - 4 (forgot to include)

FSH -3

Testicle size varies throughout the day.

I can feel my bodytemprature arising in the neck area and some in my feet.

Sleep is kind of all over the place, not able to keep a straight sleeping pattern yet.

Tinnitus remains, numbness in genitals and visual arousal/libido issues still persist.

Will update in another 3 months, cheers.
