Men's Physique Contest Prep Cycle

STOP POSING FOR PICTURES!!! Just send a straight on front and back shot… If you plan on competing you’ll be very familiar with this because you don’t use fancy filters or “cool” poses when you check-in. Also, If I were you, I’d focus on making as much progress as I could naturally before jumping to gear. I don’t know how your body handles food as far as storing fat, but maybe add more calories so you are at more than a 500 calorie surplus. Everybody is different. I gain and hold bodyfat pretty easily, but my off-season diet is still wayyyyy more than 500 calories over surplus. Don’t be scared to eat. Gotta eat to grow. Also, take into consideration of the weight you’ll be on stage. There are guys your height that look crazy because they can pack muscle on a smaller frame than someone like me. You’ll have to put on a good 40 pounds off-season like Aragorn said. If not, you’ll cut down to nothing.

My first show I was started at a soft 210… my stage weight was about 172… less before I carbed up. My most recent show I was at 215 to start and I cut to 178. I had more muscle to hold on too and I didnt have to go suicidal on cardio towards the end. My next show is late next year and I’m doing classic… Plan on being 240 off-season.

Don’t be scared to eat… Who cares if you don’t have a cool 6 pack all year round.

Good luck man!!! Eat food and sling weights!!!
