Has anybody tried the hard body plan from men’s health? I borrowed a book from a friend of mine, who’s been using it to put on some mass. How well do you think it would work for someone wanting to lose fat and get in shape?
Haven’t read it, but let me guess. It says to train with weights, do a little cardio and eat healthy. Um, when hasn’t that worked?
It’s sort of like all the Q’s we get about Body For Life. “Does it work?” Let’s see, weight training, cardio, reduced calorie eating… Am I missing the secret? No, training and an improved diet have always worked compared to shitty eating and sitting on the couch- the habits of BFL and Men’s Health target audience. Nothing magic about these programs. They’re basically designed for people who want to be told exactly what to do and when to do it.
Just keep this in mind-- such plans are mainly geared towards fat loss, so don’t expect much muscle gain (unless you’re a total newbie or were once in very muscular shape) on a reduced calorie diet.
the diet plan was written by thomas incledon who also writes or wrote in the past for t-mag. I heard the workouts were average but like i said before the diet plan is pretty well written.if u go over to the menshealth forum they can probably answer some more of your questions
Actually, most of the workouts that mens health
prints are done by (GASP!!!??) Ian King.
So, yes its probably a good workout to do.
There is probably better here on this site, but if you don’t feel like looking for it or printing it off…
