I began meltdown yesterday and have now completed the first 2 days. The first day (pullups, squats, pushups and deads) really kicked my ass. The second day (push press, lunges, dips, rows) were tough but nothing like day 1. Anyone else experience this? Is there any reason that I should not switch the squats and the lunges. I think that would make day 1 a little easier and day 2 a little tougher, thus balancing them out. Any comments or thoughts appreciated.
Unless you have an injury… do the plan just as written and you’ll see the best results.
Keep it as it is Scott, I had the same feeling when I started but am glad I didn’t change anything.
Just think of Day 2 as being more of a mental break than anything else. By the last week of Meltdown it gets fairly boring anyway, so having varying intensities between workouts helps to keep it at least somewhat fresh.
Personally I just did squats on both days, and dropped the lunges altogether.
But then again, I AM SquatMan.
