I have a meet in about 6/7 weeks I’m on to week 3 of sheiko 29 which I think is a four week routine? I have a few questions…
Is sheiko #29 a set routine or are there many variations of it? If its a set one do you guys have a link to it as I can only find upto week 3.
What would you guys suggest I do after I’ve finished sheiko #29 leading up to the meet, Its my first experience really on a strength routine as I’d previously been training more as a bodybuilder. Thanks in advance for the help.
try and read a lot more … to answer your questions 29 is one template used once by one lifter … so don’t worry about it being locked in stone, google more, his templates are all over the net, but again these are written for someone else not you, so try and understand the heavy medium light cycles that run through them
next 7 weeks is kind of short, with true Sheiko and this is very important 3 weeks out you do a max out session, then you switch to a peaking program like 32,(from memory) so you need to volume over train (never intensity over train) max out then in three weeks of peaking you have bounced back
the keys in Sheiko is that “powerlifting is part intensity and part recovery” and your average intensity should be 72 +/- 2%, too many focus on the intensity not the recovery, not as much fun as maxing out but it works
so enjoy this cycle read more then pick a meet maybe 17 weeks away and go again

Yea agreed 7 weeks is really short this place is putting meets on every two months. I don’t suppose you have a link to sheiko #32 thanks for your reply
