Meathead Camaraderie

Dear God.

So now DIETING does not mean losing body fat…

WTF???

Bzzt. Sorry. This makes no sense whatsoever. You can lose body fat and lose weight. You can gain body fat and lose weight, given enough time and de-training. Gaining and losing weight is not relegated exclusively to muscle mass. But, how would you even know without a biopsy, amIrite?
WTF? Uh, you could take a body fat reading and then calculate lean body mass.

Why would a biopsy be needed? Are you looking for a disease?

Do you know what a biopsy is?
A “diet” can be what an organism habitually eats and drinks

or a “diet” can be a prescribed system of eating and drinking (deficit or surplus notwithstanding)

“Dieting” can be to engage in said prescribed system of eating and drinking.
LOL> Uh, no. In bodybuilding, “DIETING” means losing body fat. People are seriously arguing this now?

Wow. Thanks for that lesson.
Confirmed for troll. The biopsy bit was a poke at you, but I guess you have CRS and a complete lack of sarcasm detection.

Lol at “bodybuilding,” Mr. I’m not a bodybuilder. So, you selectively choose when bodybuilding is the exclusive universe of our discussions when it suits you - good to know.

You’re welcome for the lesson. It’s a statement in direct contrast to the inaccurate statement you made. Apparently you were not aware what “diet” meant.

This has to be THE dumbest post I’ve ever seen on this site. Truly. Fucking. DUMB.

I have given up, it has to be intentional at this point.

It would actually be LESS sad if it wasn’t intentional. You could then just write it off as a character flaw. But intentionally being like this? At his age? SAD.

I would call myself a “recreational bodybuilder”…not the name should matter.

Yes, dieting usually refers to losing body fat in bodybuilding. If you are arguing that now, then this has lost any sense of value.

Most people do not use the term DIETING to mean "Any eating or drinking that is - on the whole - purposeful ".

This is arguing how terms are used in society vs a text book.

Is this really all some of you have to offer?

It is. I am not sure what the hell he is talking about…in most posts he puts up.
LOL

Wow…so “super saiyan” doesn’t know that DIET and DIETING are two different terms?

Holy crap.

Wow… so “Professor X” doesn’t understand context in a string of posts?

Holy crap.

There had to be some childhood emotional trauma in there somewhere. Maybe we can get EmilyQ to do a case study.

Can’t wait to see how this one goes…

Edit: of course, somebody elses problem.

It’s easy to see why PX gets confused. He doesn’t even know when he’s dieting or not.

First, I never wrote that I have no desire to lean out more. I plan to diet more this summer. I don’t care about PLEASING YOU with my level of leanness.

What? Didnt you just say this like a week ago?
Professor X wrote:
I don’t think I will be dieting much this summer either and wll just work on avoiding gaining much fat while trying to go up. I am seeing the separation in my pec delt tie in that wasn’t there before.

More carbs around training.
What context?

DIET means what you eat day to day.

DIETING means losing body fat.

Most people do not use DIETING to mean what they eat day to day. They use DIETING to mean losing body fat.

Are you really arguing this?

Usually there IS arguing because you’re (px) argumentative.

Actually agree with this.

Then you ignored the posts leading up to the quoted comment.

Not surprising. Do you even read all the posts or do you start to read, go in to a rage, and let your fingers fly?

This has to be a joke.

These guts are really arguing that DIETING does not mean losing body fat.

“I eat a regular diet” is correct in meaning what eat daily.

“I am dieting” is correct in meaning that you are in the process of losing fat.

No one says “I am dieting” to mean they are eating normally.

None were ignored. My “context” was right from the start.

You apparently think “I am dieting” means you are just eating normally…which makes no sense.

Maybe its from being around the boards too long. No relationship starts out with unnecessary arguing and nitpicking. Disagreements are easily waved off, but after some time, people don’t act that way. Maybe there needs to be a short term separation for a few posters on here. Arguing for arguments sake is not “protecting the fragile noobs”
