This is probably the most awesome car to ever be made, possibly one of the few cars I’d ever want more than a Corvette ZR1. Absolutely amazing! The paint job is while probably not a final, pretty damn cool to look at.

I’ll take both. Corvette for the summer, GTR for winter. Have you seen the “Veryon killer” yet? Porsche needs to just make the damn GT1 now, 254MPH with 100 less HP than the Bugatti.

Aye, the GTR is an awesome car, I just don’t think it quite at the same level as the ZR1. It’s a beautiful car, I’ve seen them here and there but I don’t find them to be quite ‘badass’

That car is fast. Surprisingly fast too. Around corners, it can beat the ZR1. Plus, it can also take off from the line pretty damn well too. Then again, it depends on what you define as “badass”.

30k cheaper too. Give me the mclaren in black, that camo doesn’t look right.
Forgive me for my first post on this forum being about a car, but I’m a massive petrolhead.
I’m a huge fan of McLaren generally, mainly for its Formula One team but also for it’s now developing road car business. The McLaren F1 is one of the cornerstone cars in the history of automobile engineering and was the fastest road car on the planet for more than a decade. So the MP4-12c has some mighty shoes to fill.
On the surface, it looks like it does it. This is going to be a really exciting piece of engineering; it introduces a carbon fiber monocoque chassis (most tubs are multi-piece, which is heavier), and basically the entire body is carbon fiber, as well. Throw in a 600+ BHP 3.8L engine, and this car is going to go like a bat out of hell. They’re saying it’s going to do over 200 MPH top speed, but surely with the light weight chassis it will also make mincemeat of some current supercars on a track.
I can’t wait for the initial test data to get out. I’d really like to see McLaren come up with an effort that blows the Italians off the circuit.
As for the camo… that’s not the representative livery of the MP4-12c, or indeed of any McLaren car. Orange is. Here’s the publicity shot.
