Oh and McDonald’s is “real food” the same way that Swisher Sweets are “real cigars”.
I could eat that crap all day when I was a teenager and feel fine. Now, in my mid-30’s, it makes me feel like I ate a handful of rocks. Then it gives me gas and evacuates itself in an unpleasant manner.
In-N-Out, best chain on the West Coast for a good burger. Hook it up right and get the animal fries, they cut the potatoes fresh in front of your fat drooling face.
The biggest difference I find in fast food chains and just regular food places is how soft the food is.
I go to burrito places regularly where they load up a tortilla with fresh cut veggies and well marinated meat.I had a taco bell XL burrito after not eating taco bell in ages and it was basically all liquid inside that tortilla.
Even when you eat a McDonalds sandwich I’m always taken aback of how soft the food is.

Has anyone here read “Gulp” by Mary Roach? In it, she describes how people instinctively enjoy crunchy foods, like potato chips, because due to evolutionary adaption. Foods like veggies, fruits, and nuts were fresh if they were crisp and crunchy. The people eating rotten mushy food didn’t fair so well.
As for my fast food of preference - Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich is what’s up. I haven’t found many fast food burgers that I like because the meat to bread ratio is off. Fast food burgers are too thin. Can’t hate on McD’s breakfast though.

Yep, and it comes out the same way.
The best fast food burger is from BK. Whatever you get, ask for it “off-the-grill.” They’ll make it fresh for you right there, but you wait a bit longer. It’s night and day.
Best (as in cheapest) lunch without OD’ing on carbs: 2 McChickens (spicy if they have them) and a McDouble. Throw away the buns on the McChicken and put those patties on the McDouble.
For $3.29 you get 800cals consisting of 45 grams of fat, 58 grams of carbs, and 40 grams of protein.
Within 20 miles of my house there’s probably about 50 milk bars that make real burgers that are far better than any burger from a chain store I’ve ever had. Here in Australia we always have beetroot on burgers. Any decent take away store(milk bar) has a cast iron hot plate and some big buns, beef paddies and they fry up onions and add with lettuce, tomato and beetroot as standard with any extras you want.
A lot of people like to add bacon and fried egg and most people have BBQ sauce. These “homemade” or real burgers are immeasurably superior to any burger I’ve had from a chain store as I said. I grew up eating this sort of take out and I can’t stand the artificial taste of McDonalds - never could. Hungry Jacks/Burger King is palatable but no where near as good as a real burger.
I was fully prepared to spread some McHate on the golden arches, the burgers blow though me like soupy freight train, but those breakfast sandwiches…da’yumm! McGridles, sausage egg and cheese biscuit! Fat guy crack.
I eat McDonald’s once in a while, normally if I’m working or something and there’s nothing near me, but although I enjoy fast food, I feel like total, absolute shit after I eat it, so i do it sparingly.
I go for Wendy’s ceaser wraps, or McD’s grilled chicken wraps, to minimize the damage.
I used to eat their McChickens, but on like every 10th one, you bite into that weird clear crunchy part that’s like cartilage or something. It typically grosses me out so badly that I have to wait at least four months before I have another one.

After watching the video decided to go get some mc nuggets for myself. I pull up and see that they have 10pc/$2…I then see that they also have the option of buying a 20 pc/$5 …???
So I ordered 2, 10 pc for $4…AND THEY WERE GOOD. I haven’t had mc Donald’s in probably over a year, and I probably haven’t had mc nuggets in over 5 yrs.
I also felt pretty good, no stomach aches or headaches or feeling sluggish ( I call it the McDonald’s hangover)
The pricing reminds me of planet fitness, they had a few years ago the option of going $10/mo or $180/yr.
Nuggets contain Rosemary extract which is a natural antioxidant. You might say You consumed a high protein super food
I assure you they’ve tightened up the H & S after that tragic mincer incident. She only looked away for a second…

I don’t think they are really big yet, but shake shack has a better burger than 5 guys. And they have milkshakes. Game over.
Burger and shakes is fucking disgusting. Especially the people who bite into their burger and then take a drink of the shake…the fuck.

Go a-fucking-way.
