This is awesome.
The Simpsons from seasons 3 - 9 is the best TV show ever made.
The new ones suck like a dyson, but it can’t be easy keeping a show good for 20+ seasons
That was actually really cool. You don’t see that many shows being as clever anymore.
I think the last couple of seasons have finally brought some of the good stuff back. There was a good time period where I think I just stopped watching it…probably seasons 13-20. I own all the seasons that are out (1-15 and 20) and seasons 3-12, especially 3-8, are getting worn out
MEMEBER when mick jagger and keith richards were in it??!!
HAAAAhHA
Mick was all
“we really need to start buying the cheaper oatmeal”
ANd he was teaching them to dance
HAHAHHA
OH AND keith was teaching them how to run through groupies
AHHA
Ohhhhhhhh man.
Ya I just watched that one last night…
I bought the dvds…
LOVE SIMPSONS 4 —>
if only simpsons was on netflix…
I still remember vividly the first time I realised The Simpsons may have jumped the shark, it was in the fourteenth season, an episode titled “Large Marge” where Marge gets breast implants. Everything before that is significantly better than anything after, and I believe it to be around the defining moment of it’s decline into madness and degradation.
Bear in mind I was incredibly young, that was about 10 seasons ago, and if I were to look back on it more logically my mind may change, but my memories and childlike wonder tell me that is where the shit hit the fan.
ANd then mick jagger was driving that devil head thing HAHAHahah

This. I’d even say season 2 is when it started to find its footing. The decline from the first half of season 9 and the last half is pretty dramatic. I honestly can’t ever see a show matching the genius of early Simpsons. I have 1-9 on DVD, and there are certain disks throughout the seasons that don’t work due to overuse.

I don’t see it ever happening. I got seasons 1-11 on DVD so I’m set.
