Lol you guys laugh…maybe it was not the signal but this fight was bought fellow humans. When was the last time a boxing match was brought on GAL? When has a boxing match been discussed over 8 pages? What they did worked my friends.
Oh and londonboxer is fightingirish using another username. It was a bitch move by mayweather, right? It ended in controversy right? A 50 yr old man challenged him to a fight? Hmmm…here we are talking about a fight in a sport that is dying slowly…
Yall who know the sport know the truth.
shhh bro some people don’t like to hear the truth

Sour Monkey Moses, You sir have given me a good laugh for the evening. Serious or not and I hope you are.
Thank You.
Lol come one four. I ain’t got a dog in the fight homeboy. So I do not care who wins or will win. And your welcome for making you laugh.
Like I stated four and to all other doubters, watch what happens in the next few months. It has been well over a yr before the common man has talked about boxing, not talking about hardcore fans.
What does sour monkey moses mean? Im not hip with it to know the internet well enough yet?

If you could please humor me and break down how you believe this meeting of the Superpowers of boxing went down.
Really I’m not going to pick apart any thing you write. But Shyt Krishna Elephant balls, man I need to see how this plays out.
And ignore the Moses stuff just trying to hit all the big guys not wanting to leave anyone out.
First of all Four it was not a meeting of superpowers. Like many have stated mayweather cherrypicks his fights and he is a very good boxer, but at the same time I think he does not want to face an equal opponent. Also there is a thing called the eyeball test. The fight did not pass the eyeball test. Ortiz was too happy to have just lost to a cheap but legal shot.
Look at us here we are arguing about a boxing fight, WTF? Any who what does Shyt Krishna Elephant balls mean, Im still not hip with it.
When Cain Sucker Punched Able while he was looking at his sandals I bet you anything the Angels debated for years if he seen it and should have ducked. This is typical guy shit, we debate sports, especially Boxing not new in the states, england, so where are you from?
From Texas, no typical guy shit is us talking about pacman against mayweather, not ortiz. Or us debating Dallas Cowboys versus the Giants. Maybe within your inner circle it may be typical but not with the guy standing next to you in the grocery line. Here we are debating boxing! Job well done by the boxing world.
That’s why honestly believe it was bought, Ortiz was smiling too much after he lost. The fight just stank of nonsense. The only thing missing was Don King. Any who glad we can be civil about this.
Also now I am interested in who Mayweather fights, just cause I wanna see his ass kicked. Only if we can get Manny and Mayweather at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Just goes to show we fell into the trap.
Hmmm really, I now understand.
Lol dont challenge me to tug of war fight?

2011 nominee for thread containing the most rhetorical questions.
Ha, naaaa, Its not that. I get that you don’t get it.
I mean I understand other sports. I cheer my home town teams Giants, Mets, Knicks. I understand the diminishing boxing fans. But you seem to beleive that this is something differnt. Its not.
Boxing is a underdog sport. Your looking at the millionare top dogs and think that is the whole of the sport. its in the way you say. 8 pages on …Boxing??
It takes alot for a guy to step inside a ring alone (no matter how many times you hear them talk about The Team) boxing is one man against one man event. If you make a mistake no one will pick up the ball or run a block for you. ITs all on you. And unlike a team sport if you fail there is no next years crew that will take your name and wear your colors. Your fans die with you or move on.
If you ever get a chance to watch some in gym matches check it out.
Boxing may need to make changes (in the way they judge and the science of the gloves and how many rounds should they go) But not the science behind it. I like MMA, But I have a love for boxing.
And I understand that you don’t get it. But its cool My corner store may be diferent than yours.
ahahahahahaha
Would love to see Manny get a knockdown on Floyd

You. You look stupid.
Clearly you can’t see why taking anything said on the internet to the real world is immature, hence why you look stupid.
My age is up in my hub, it’s not being hidden, and yet, you show the maturity of someone a hell of a lot younger than me.
Children, successful career, I’m guessing a house (possibly paid off mortgage)… and he challenges internet warriors to mortal combat. LOL.

We obviously haven’t met, allow me to introduce myself: “I don’t give a fuck”.
I don’t know how you talk over across the pond to each other, but we don’t do that here where he’s from or where I’m from. He knows it. I know it. He aint defending it, you are. Says more about you than anyone here.
And how’s the school system over there? Not strong on reading comprehension? Mortal combat? I said I want to hear bitch with my own fucking ears. And if I hear “bitch”, you’re fucking right about one thing…I’ll get real fucking stupid. Maybe you do know me after all.

I think it was a cheap shot. The whole debate is lost in shades of grey, as everyone has a slightly different moral centre. For example, I think someone lacks character if they are the first to resort to cheap shots, but I don’t think someone who clocks someone else with a cheap shot having been fouled themselves, regardless of whether it is in the heat of battle or during a break in the action, lacks character. I don’t think Floyd’s cheap shot showed a lack of character (although I do think Floyd is a low life scum bucket, and I wouldn’t piss on a fire to put him out). Ortiz was doing everything he could to stop the fight starting again. Floyd gave him a clip round the ear with his left, and Ortiz, unhurt, looked to the ref.
At the point Floyd hit him with his right, as far as I’m concerned, Ortiz had had his warning. So while it ws a little cheap, since Ortiz didn’t seem keen to engage, I don’t fault floyd for having had enough of fucking about.
I will come out with it and declare that I believe I would do the exact same thing in the circumstances, and my opponent would be lucky to get the left as a warning shot. I am young though, and perhaps I am still overly volatile, as in the bouts I’ve had where someone has cut up rough, I’ve not been slow to retaliate in kind (I was DQ’d in my first bout, having been headbutted, for throwing elbows). It’s my opinion that once you step outside the rules, especially in the way Ortiz did, all bets are off. If that means I lack character in some people’s eyes, then so be it, I can live with that. [/quote]
You seem to be a reasonable guy, able to talk about this without tossing around insults and appealing to some fallacious “authority”. What you said above is reasonable.
For the record, I like my fighters to be thug. It’s fighting. I hate when they “like” each other and all that bullshit. And I think Ortiz is a bitch and made a bitch move with this bullshit kissing and hugging. If fouled him. Ortiz should have been “fuck you, I fouled you, let’s fight”. And, I would have MUCH preferred that Mayweather NOT accept his hollow apology and to play dirty back. Like I said, one of my favorite fighters is Hopkins. I loved Tyson when he was menacing - and who knows what he would have done. I’d like to think Mike would have gotten down and dirty DURING the fight, not when the dude wasn’t looking. I’d have preferred Mayweather said, “fuck you” and commenced fighting. That said, I still can’t agree to the cheap shot. I understand your point of view. I do. But I rather see it get dirty while both fighters are DEFENDING themselves. Hit me below the belt, and I’m going south too.
I know it’s a small distinction, but hitting a guy when he isn’t defending himself or even looking doesn’t sit right with me.

What the fuck do you know about “how the shit goes down”. Shit goes down every day around here. What the fuck is so alien to you about a man being responsible for his fucking words, whether spoken or written? Seriously dude? Are you 14. Obviously you grew up in this internet era where you insult someone and hide behind your keyboard. Good look my man.

I’d agree with you about them trying to create interest but guess what"? I read the paper today. The Philadelphia Daily News and the New York Post. Guess how many articles were about the fight? ZERO. Go online and there isn’t many more.
Boxing is suffering, and has been for some time. First, we do not have a heavyweight champion to capture the world’s attention. Mike Tyson was the last one. And the fights that should get made, and that the public wants to see, do not get made…or they get made when no one cares anymore. The “business” of boxing is boxing’s biggest enemy and the boys over at UFC are taking advantage of it - and they do not even have a superior “product”. But they make fights over there. No alphabet organizations and no bullshit. In the UFC, you fight. In boxing, the promoters and the alphabet organizations fight…among themselves. And the fans suffer.
Who really wanted to see Mayweather / Diaz? Seriously? The world wants Mayweather / Manny. A long time ago.

You may be halfway right but I get boxing, somewhat, had two of my best friends in the golden gloves here in Dallas. Trust me our corner stores are the same, when there’s a bail bond right next to it where the boxers work. I used to watch my friends spar against top contenders here in Dallas. It always felt to me that there was some favoritism going on which man to promote.
Like I said I aint no expert in boxing but that fight did not pass the eyeball test.
Just like I said TBG, who really cared about the fight until the last few minutes where all the hoopla happened. Cheap shots, head butts, commentator asking to whip Mayweather ass’s?
Here we are still talking about that fight and what do we all want to see now? Manny and Mayweather…And your right maybe the big papers ain’t talking about it but here in Dallas we have radio stations mentioning the fight. The first time I heard them talking about boxing in a long time. And guess what it was all about the bitch shot Mayweather took. So it worked here we are still engaging about it. Now all the world wants to see mayweather on his behind.
