Mayham Miller...You Suck

what is the history with Mayhem and Shields?[/quote]
They fought earlier basically Shields did the same thing he did to Hendo except for a brief moment where Mayhem almost won via RNC but Shields was saved by the bell.

anyone got the link to the full fight of Hendo vs Shields? i just read the live coverage and watched the first round on mmatko

Reading up on the “brawl”, I don’t put any of the blame on Miller. He is a legitimate fighter, who came into the cage to request a rematch. Fighters do it all the time. Hell, they do it in boxing as well. And if I read correctly, Melendez first shoved Miller, then the Diaz brothers jumped on him, with Shields getting some in as well. The take-away from this, the Cesar Gracie fight team should be punished severely. Lil Nate Diaz should be suspended indefinitely, as well. Especially seeing as how he is a representative of UFC. Sorry stuff, right there.

Mayhem was not the one who made a mistake here…
Diaz brothers are just 2 angry boys :stuck_out_tongue:

They should be the ones taking crap for this

But…but…Anderson Silva like,oh my gawd,totally shit-stained MMA already.

Yeah I thought that was really disrespectful,

Jake shields really worked his game plan after the first round. I can’t believe he survived that first round. He’s definatly going to the ufc, on another note what the f*** was wrong with Mousasi…very bad performance.

It’s called no take down defense and being way to comfortable on your back. King Mo was gassed as hell by the second round…and Mousasi couldn’t do shit with that. I despise King Mo’s “knawmsayin” ass…but I respect him for showing some heart to keep grinding Mousasi.

If Mousasi had a hint of takedown defense…Mo would have been fucked…knawmsayin???

OH…and I would love to see Jacare smash Shields before and if he goes to UFC.

I did’nt think Miller did ANYTHING…

I’ll say this however, Miller is one tough son of s bitch, I’d love to see what he could do if he actually trained…the guy needs to find the weight room too…

As for Shields Vs Miller…I LOVED that fight.

Has to be embarrassing for Strikeforce that 3 of their champs just gang attacked someone. Thats not 3 guys they wanna cut its their champs. Even if one is leaving and that might even be in question now but its still really embarrassing.

Mayhem did what I have seen 100’s of boxers and other fighters do. You get them in there to build hype. Like someone posted Nick Diaz already did it to KJ Noons. I hope something comes out of this and there is some punishment handed down to the Cesar Gracie camp as gang attacks should not happen or be tolerated.

And I agree with you Big_Boss this made Silva look like a nothing. At least he didnt have Black House storm the cage and attack someone after.

agreed it may not be the classiest move but its pretty common place. to challenge someone like that. remember GSP callin out Hughes the douche bags were the ones who attacked him

I agree that was total bullshit, but who the hell is that pussy kicking Miller while hes being restrained by like 6 guys?

it was unprofessional for Miller to ask for a rematch in the ring while Shields was giving his props. That was a moment for Shields to take his victory lap after beating a legend in the sport. This is the kind of thing we dont need for MMA to grow. CBS is free for all to watch unlike UFC, where its mostly PPV. Imagine last night being someones first experience with MMA, what are they gonna think? “This is a bunch of GOONS in a cage” and not “here are some professional, elite level ATHLETES testing the mettle and putting on a show”. Miller isnt all to blame. Shields did engage him when he could have just stopped talking while Miller made a fool of himself. And the Diaz brothers are…well…the Diaz brothers. Miller knew something like this was going to happen walking in and he did it anyways. Yes, A.Silva dropped a big stinky poopy on MMA with his last fight. How does that on-air brawl improve on things? It doesnt, it makes it worse. I would like to see MMA get as big as the NFL. For that to happen, MMA athletes need to carry themselves with the mind-set that CHILDREN are watching and those CHILDREN (our future) are going to influenced by them. Ever heard a kid say “I wanna be like (insert name of big pro athlete) when I grow up”? Its already happening:

Turn the volume down for this one

from Russia with love

You want a kid to say that they wanna be like Mayhem or the Diaz brothers?

I think people are overreacting a bit nobody was hurt and this has happened before and in other sports.

You’re right nothing happened, but the title in this thread was as wrong as can be.
It’s not because things like this have happened before that we should keep having them, it confirms the judgement people already have about MMA…

If the sport wants to go mainstream, things like this should not be allowed to happen without consequences.
The guys opening up op Miller should just be kicked out and be told to head down to the bars and out of the cage, “champions” do not act this way.

I agree with drewh, it add some flavor to the history of their next fight

Tell that to Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman played basketball… talk about mainstream sport!

Who’s saying he didnt deserve to get his ass kicked?

The guy disrespected someone who was on their side, so being the Testosterone filled fighters that they were, they took action. What were you expecting? A fuckin debate?

According to CBS they are on NATIONAL television, they should been set this as gentlemans, so i was expecting a slap and a challenge from someone, who would then pull their guns and battle to death in the name of their gentleman honors

Exactly. I’m sure everyone involved can care less about it now and moved on. I thought Coker looked stupid tapping all over the commentator talking to Shields afterwards just to say his crap. The show and talent of Strikeforce was weak, and I heard no Lunatic Fringe.
