I wrote a paper in college in which I argued that WW2 would not have happened if Hitler and Mussolini had practiced jiu jitsu.

Japanese jiu jitsu, judo or BJJ?
Japanese jiu jitsu was the original, but had the least amount of focus on randori
Judo was derived from JJJ with emphasis on tachi waza and ne waza, like a 70/30 split
Bjj is derived from judo, like 30/70 the other way around.
Which is better for self defence is debatable. Judo throws are brutal, but you have to train for a looooonnng time before you can pull them off.
Grips also have to be adjusted if your attacker isn’t wearing a hoodie, t-shirt or jacket.
BJJ explicitly has a nogi variation. It’s comsiderably harder to find nogi judo.
Maybe I should take a cruise.

This can sometimes be true, but I still find it helpful to remember that I’m quite ignorant about most topics, like poetry, for example.
Poetry is one of those things I could never get my head around, unlike subduing violent people with my bare hands. I’ve no doubt the poem you posted is both brilliant and relevant, but I don’t have the time or determination to get out my dictionary and sort through all of the unfamiliar words so I might connect the dots in a way to appreciate the thoughtful poem you posted.
I’ll stick to what I know, which is spreading the good word about Slayer.
