Max Contraction Training?

My buddy has been turned on by book from John Little, Max Contraction Training.
I am not sold on this whole work out thing. In short it is max load at “max contraction” for one rep, one set per body part. let 'er rip folks, or any good feed back to kill my pessimistic attitude towards this program.

Thanks,
-QC

I see nothing wrong with it used as a tool a day per week or two but not as a one and only set of parameters.

SOUNDS GAY
Na seriously I wouldn’ t worry about it you do your normal style of lifting your mate does the new style then have a lift off and posedown that wioll tell who is who provided you guys are about level now

Thanks for the input.

One problem with this (or advantage, depending on your intentions) is that such short periods of contraction might not fully deplete your glycogen loads.

This is pure contractile in the top of the movement strength training. It doesn’t train endurance. While I know people here aren’t into 100 reps with a 5lb dumbbell sort of endurance, maybe endurance DOES have a place in muscle growth?

Sounds alot like Pete Sisco’s static contraction training. I haven’t done it and do have some misgivings, but I’m also not ready to write it off as entirely worthless on occasion either. Haven’t taken time to examine it enough.

Pete Sisco and John little do not even look like they workout. There stuff is interesting but personally I have had no success with their methods and apparently neither have they.
