which is basically candy
For you, Matty, I’ll make time!
The major part of dieting is getting through the transition period. Carb withdrawl causes kind of low grade panic… mild depression… and serious brain fog. It’s temporary but it can literally scare the hell out of a guy. I you can tough out 7 days, you can probably go for the duration.
But I think full on carb removal is a bit extreme at this point. I’d start with carb partitioning. That means you only eat starchy carbs or fruit in the 2-4 hours post workout. Sugar is retricted to only the post-workout drink. Cardio and EEW doesn’t earn you carbs. If you can actually do that 90% of the time I’m betting you’d drop good bunch of fat.
And a guy your size doesn’t need to have a six-pack to look sick.
Did I mention I am currently at the tail end of a big ugly bulk… and I hit 195 lb? You may laught an dcall me a pussy now.

Awesome, I think the hardest part for me is gonna be sugar…Im gonna start posting what I eat today…cuz like DJ said it makes accountable. So rice would be ok after a workout I assume as I usually eat dinner after I work out, and since my wife is spanish its like rice every effing meal. Im totally lost with this stuff.
I love rice too! Rice and/or grits. But I don’t get the latter much.
About the carb partitioning…
No carbs BEFORE the workout?

Artificial sweetners are fine, I run off coffee all morning and then switch to tea. BUT I just have cream in my coffee and my tea I drink straight.
What is a turbo ice coffee?
Dunkin Donuts adds a shot of espresso, to give you an extra kick!

Got you, I think you need to PM Doogie. Ask him about the adrenal fatique and iodine defenciency. You might find that interesting. He is in my friend list so you can find him in my hub.
I will thanks bro.
Here’s how I do my version
On lifting days I get about 1100-1200 cals in protein shakes with verry little in carbs. Then I have 500-600 cals in protein from lean meat or chicken. If you do boneless skinless chicken breasts you can get a lot for 600 cals.
On non-lifting days I drop the protein shakes to 700-880+ the meal.
I try to get only enough carbs to stay out of ketosis.
Yeah it sucks and you have to drive yourself to stay focused but I can drop 10-14lbs of fat in 4 weeks and get slightly stronger. Sometimes I do it just for a week if I’m feeling carb bloated and I feel tons better after the 7 days are up.
A little late to the party but my 12 week transformation was done using PSMF. I did the pulse fast twice a week for the first 9 or 10 weeks, and then I just couldn’t stand going without food for an entire day lol. So, I switched to Pulse Feasting every day and it was a hell of a lot easier.
I just had some hydrolyzed whey for breakfast and my second meal, instead of my usual two meals, and then went back to regular eating around 2:00. I’m usually busy in the morning anyways so I don’t think all to much about food so it was really easy.

How many shakes does that amount to on a lifting day?..this one solid meal a day idea is simply scaring the shit outta me. But if followed its like having your cake and eating it too, dropping a shit ton of fat and gaining strength, sounds like the holy grail!

But I dont have to do the pulse fast twice a week right, once a week is fine as well? Now the whey came after your fast when you could go on with your regular diet? Why do I find this so confusing.
When I switch to pulse feasting, I completely dropped the pulse fasts. So for the last two weeks, a typical day of eating was
Wake up, 25-30g hydrolyzed whey in half gallon water (helped keep me full haha, added some Crystal Light, too)
12:00 is, another 25-30g hydrolyzed whey in half gallon water
2:00-3:00
3 tbs PB
50g protein from chicken
LOTS OF BROCCOLI
5:00
same meal as before
8:00
same meal as before
10:00
scoop of protein and ground flax seeds
This came out to about 2,000, and on training days I would add in my 50g protein and maybe 60g carbs during my training.
I’m using my version of the pulse feast but adding in a little more calories to see if I can add on a little weight without gaining much fat. I’ll probably do this until summer is over, when I just focus on getting freakishly big haha.
Now this seems doable, I may just attempt this, maybe ![]()

What flavor protein and crystal light did you use? I always get chocolate protein and drink the hell out of Crystal light raspberry lemonade so when I read your post my first thought was mixing those, kind of gagged a little.

Haha, well the last batch I ordered didn’t ask me for a flavor for some reason, but it has added stevia. My first batch was orange flavored though, which mixes well with crystal light.
I only use hydrolyzed protein for pulses and during my workouts, I use much cheaper sources of protein for on-the-go meal replacements. I always get some chocolate flavor for these, because I usually mix it with some peanut butter.
Ha yeah I was thinking the same thing, I usually rock the crystal light pink lemonade or iced tea.
