MattyXL's Tears in a Bucket Log

I dont have sleeves, may need to buy if I am going to do these. So you work more quads huh.

Surprisingly yes, now I realize that it is supposedly more of a hip, hammie, glute movement…but I feel it in front not in back. Possibly because of a closer stance. I know with regular back squats I feel it more in the aforementioned ham. glute area. Or it could be my polish kicking in.

Or that large ass you have, you are just dominate there. I think I will do them tomorrow and test them out. Do you clasp your hands?

Maybe lol I put my right hand over my left wrist

Cool thanks bro. Everything else going okay? Did you get a new puppy yet?

Yeah man no complaints, for me no news is good news. The dog was actually living with my sister but what seems like half of the year she was with me too. I still have my 3 little pals. Gonna stay with the three cuz itll be hard enough finding a new place to live with 3 dogs even if they arent big.

I’m a big fan of front squats for hitting the quads. The benefit over Zerchers is instead of scraping your elbows raw, you can bruise your collarbones!!

I definitely gotta get in on the front squats, I do have this odd aversion to anything touching my collarbone. For some strange reason the thought of it makes me sick…effing strange.

Collarbone phobia? Huh. Maybe it’s the thought that one tiny wrong move and the bar will crush your windpipe?

Yep Cavalier, that certainly may have something to do with it!

^lol at above collarbone posts. Crushing windpipe isn’t such a strange phobia, huh?

The bar will be more on the shoulders than the collarbone though.
My collarbone is boney as hell, and it will definetely hurt if the bar for front squats always rested on it.

All this Zercher talk is making me anxious for my next leg sesh. I’m definetely going to get them in rotation… oh I only barely remember the pain.

You would wreck the zerchers nikki!

for shits and giggles, my buddies from jersey last year had me doing tire flips and shit like that, here are my first two attempts last year, try not to laugh to hard…

Love it! Sorry, but I couldn’t help chuckling.

What’s this “ex-bodybuilder” bit? Did you once walk onto a stage all oiled up?

I chuckled too, at the part where you were using 'da Gunz to curl the tire, and then walk backwards to catch up…well, maybe I’m exaggerating a little. :-))

I will get better at this LOL…it was a shock to the system so to speak, never did it before in my life. This bb thing is my buddies busting my balls cuz at one point I said to them I was gonna do more BB style workouts and diet while I scarfed down a big mac, and said it all with a straight face.

Matty, you actually moved your log. I thought you were kidding.

As I former Catholic schoolgirl, 13 year vet, I know all to well what you mean about the Catholic guilt. Strange phenomena but it is ETERNAL. I have not practiced it like 15 years and it still slaps me in the face sometimes.

So sorry about your loss. I am a lover of all dogs and part-time dog walker/sitter. They are pure love. You were blessed to have her in your life.

Loved the tire flipping vid. What kind of gloves were you wearing?

The tire flip looked exhausting. You’re a tank bro.

Sorry about the pup, its an awful feeling - 18 years is a great life for dogs.

I cant back squat bothers my neck too much
so i am only stuck front squatting they only hurt your collar bones
for a little while
if your feeling like your choking then the bar is in the right position.

zerchers are my favorite thing to love/hate

good training

Sweet! I’m popping in at the perfect time! Love the vids.

Matty, you’re a beast!

I’ve never tried zerchers - i’m not sure i’m there yet. Plus the look painful.

Sorry to hear about dog :frowning: 18 is def a long happy life.

Great training neighbor!
