PCH 1 is an awesome drive. I was super lucky to get out there about 30 years ago when my brother was stationed in Monterey.

I should’ve trained today.
Honestly I’m stressing about this interview and it’s I’m catching myself trying to “hide” from it using about anything else I can as a distraction instead of addressing the shit I need to do.

I need a mentality shift on this stuff… its a trend.

I’ve been thinking on it for some time, and I’m going to compete.

Just bought my NPC card and I’m looking at a show on Oct 18th.
I’d like to compete in Mens Classic Physique, but we’ll see as we get closer to the show.
I dont know shit about competing, NPC categories, or anything, so this will be a learning experience.

I’ll be starting a new training log for the competition prep. Stay tuned, I’ll link it here once I’ve made it.

It’s probably going to get overshadowed by news of the competition, but i got to be the hero this morning.

I woke up to the sound of my wife’s scream.
I yell across the house asking if everything is okay.
… no response
I yell again “What is it?!”
Wife says “THERE’S A SNAKE IN THE HOUSE”
“Like a big one??”
“Yeah!”

So I’m up, rush to get my redneck snake protection gear on (beltless jeans and cowboy boots - no shirt)

“Where is it?”
“I picked it up thinking it was one of [our daughter]'s toys and then it did the snake tongue thing so i screamed and-”
“Babe!
… where is it?”

She points over to it and its this little baby gopher snake with a head smaller than the tip of your pinky.

I threw a towel over it, grabbed it by the back of the head and gave it a new home outside.

So what I’m trying to say is that i saved the girl from a dragon.
