Also, to round out the whole BBing training situ that I had going on, here’s what my last official Quad day looked like on Friday. (tehnically today was my last quad day, but because I’ve mentally checked out, I pretty much went into the gym and just dicked around and did random leg work)
Quads:
Wall sits - 4x 1 min on, 30secs off
Back squat - 12x95, 8x115, 125, 2x5x135
GMs - 12x 65, 75, 2x8x85
BB static lunge - 12x45, 55, 2x12x65
Leg press- 12x135, 145, 165, 190
DB step ups - 12x15, 2x12x20, 12xBW < when done correctly these are killer, lol!
Here’s what squat ROM looks like sans ACL
Whereas this is what my squat ROM looked like prior to injury
On the plus side, now I can start all over again and correct that terrible GM situation I got going on! YAY!! (not really)
Anyways, I trained more glutes and hams on Monday, back and shoulders yesterday, and more legs today. Was planning on doing chest and arms tomorrow as a final hurrah, but I’m pretty much over this shit…we’ll see how I feel in the AM. As of now its on the schedule…
This is what my little heart-beat looks like! Isn’t it cute?!
As part of the surgery I had to go to all sorts of doctor’s visits - one of which had me get an EKG (apparantly if you smoke stuff they want to check out your heart). The EKG came back “abnormal” but only because I’m so well-conditioned
I love going to the doctors and having my good health validated! I take pride in my near-comatose blood pressure.
And speaking of, I had a good laugh at the doctors when they made me fill out a waiver that asked of I had any special requests should “something” happen during surgery. I wrote, “If i’m in a vegetative state, kill me and chop me up! Donate my organs and tell my mother I love her and that the key is under the armoir.” (there is no key, but post-humous practical jokes on mom is fun!)
And more fun is yet to come! Tomorrow some medical delivery people are bringing over a knee bending apparatus! Of course in my head this contraption looks like something from out of the movie Brazil (but with a special dildo attachment), but I know that’s just a flight of fancy. “Rehabbing” can’t be that much fun, now can it?
I still have to take my measurements, so i can gauage atrophy or the onset of (as Cbear so eloquently put it) sloppy-fatness. I’ll see if I can get that done tomorrow. Stay tuned for more inane updates, people.
In the meantime, keep it real y’alls! I’ll check in with everyone tomorrow - off to bed with me!

Here’s a pic of my spiffy old-lady-esque, knee friendly wedges. I wore them to a BBQ on the 4th of July. Looks like a pump, feels like a sneaker?
I wish I could show you guys my face in the pic. I have the vapid stare of one of those “real-life” sex dolls. Its totally awesome! [/quote]
I also don’t want to do this, but I’m going to do it anyways - for the sake of posterity.
Looking at my body, I’m really not happy with it. My legs and ass used to be so strong and tight, and now they just look flabby and gross Its been 1.5 months since my injury. Not sprinting around is definitely not a good look for me. lol! Oh well…
Such a rude fucking awakening! HAHAH! Damn! Will also admit that my flabbiness has also given way to some cellulite, in the saddle bags region. Oh man…
But hey, this is life and I’m just trying to keep it real. Hopefully some time soon I can tighten everything up, drop some extra weight, etc. etc. Right now, I’m just focused on recovery
And that’s that, everyone! I’ll be checking in soon. Have a great one y’alls!
