nope, my injury is almost like it’s at day 1. It would get better, so I would do some light squats or something, and the pain would come back. I learned my lesson the hard way… I’ve determined it needs 2-3 months of complete rest. Getting an MRI soon too to verify.

Today…breathe…in rehab…breathe…I got to RUUUUUUNNNNNNN!!! YAY!!!
I ran for 2mins on and 1 min off for 10 minutes. If felt so good, so right (except for the first 2 minutes when my body was all WTF?). I haven’t run since May!
Also, tonight is my first foray back into Oly, also since May. Should be interesting…I’d like to see what my coach says upon my return and what he plans to have me train.
Anywho, I’m fucking killing my rehab, kids. Seriously, I rehab like nobodies business

Also thanks for all the kind words on my last post everyone! Especially re: my OH squat form. I’m really working on getting my flexibility on point with those - especially before I start working the ATG sitch.

Git, actually, I was a good girl and made the mature decision to not to be his patient and stick with my lady PT. In one of our sessions when it was “massage and stretch time” (sigh), I was laying on the table and he looked at me and said, “you ready?” Then he grabbed me by my ankles and in one decisive, swift movement pulled me all the way down to the edge of the table so ass was at his crotch and my legs were perpendicular in the air. It was so wrong. That’s when I decided I’d see him once every other week. lol! (don’t judge)
Greg and Joe - Yeah buddy!!! Ahh…soccer…seems so far, far away…I still have a bunch of milestones that I need to cover before i get back into soccer - back/front squatting ATG for one. But you know, on the plus side of busting your knee is that it really can only go up from here. right? I also am DYING to get behind a prowler. I need to find one of those here in the city!
Print - thanks big dog! I was wearing my t-shirt today that said “built for speed” so it inevitable! But yeah, should be interesting. I’m definitely not planning on doing any dropping under bars and things - just muscle snatches/cleans, maybe some hang cleans, pulling from blocks (maybe…the hip drive scares me), and of course OH squats, so I’m not sure how much mind/muscle connection will be restored, but we’ll see.

And, crazy coincidence, that is incredibly similar to my weekend. Just add knee wraps as restraints.
