Marzouk Making you LEANER and then BIGGER

SO

As far as adjusting calories/macros/skiploads when skiploading there are a couple things you need to consider, and u’ll see why it is important to take your weight every day

  1. Baseline : This can be described as when your bodyweight comes back to the point where you were the day before your skipload. When should it happen? Around day 3 or 4.

SO, if you hit baseline after 1 or 2 days what does this mean? It means that your load was not big enough. Its at that point that you can/should increase your load time (usually by 2hours). IF, on the other hand, you dont baseline before day 5 or even 6 well then this would mean your skipload was too big (so too long) and should be reduced.

  1. Weightloss : If you are hitting baseline when you should then what you should be looking for is the difference between your preskipload day from the current week vs the previous week. If you havent lost 1-2lbs in that week what does this mean? That you are eating too many cals. If you have loss more than that what does this mean? That you are not eating enough cals

I personally like to increase the caloric deficit and/or lower it by about 250cals/day and not make any change that is too drastic. Now this is going to be highly individual but I personally prefer to reduce the carbs first but I will want to keep some of them around workouts. If it is possible to add more cardio sessions in that is great but you can’t just go adding those without reducing cals ever

Obviously the way you remove the carbs/fats is going to be highly individual. But notice I say remove carbs/fats… i don’t touch proteins, or not much anyways

Feel free to ask anything u’d wanna know

Day 1 : Legs

  1. Seated/lying leg curls (as you wish, i’d personally alternate) : 4 x 12. On the last set do 25 partials out of the bottom
  2. Backsquat : Pyramid up. 3 x 10 and then drop the weight and do one set of 25 reps
  3. Legpress : Start at 1plate/side and add 1plate/side as long as you can get 10reps every set.
  4. Leg extensions : 2 x 20 (hold 1sec at the top)
  5. Isometric lying leg curl : just put a moderate weight and hold it as long as you can at the middle of the ROM… get at least 45secs
  6. Dumbell stiff legged deadlifts : 3 x 12. Squeeze your glutes when you are back up. Focus on the stretch

Day 2 : Push

  1. Flat dumbell chest press : 1 x 15, 1 x 12, 1 x 10, 1 x 8, 1 x 6 → pyramid up
  2. Inclined barbell press : 4 x 6
  3. Barbell bench press : 6 x 3 explosive reps. Only rest 20secs.
  4. Inclined cable crossover : 3 x 15. Hold the stretch position 1sec every rep and hold and squeeze at the top 1 sec on every rep
  5. Rear delts machine (reverse pec deck) : 3 x 15 - hold/squeeze 1 sec on every rep
  6. Superset : Barbell front raise + dumbell lateral raises : 3 x 12
  7. Rope pushdown : 4 x 12 - hold/squeeze 1 sec on every rep
  8. Bench dips : 3 x failure

Day 3 : Pull

  1. Dumbell rows deadstop - 3 x 10 and then keep the same weight but do the most reps you can (you can cheat on that set)
  2. Smith barbell rows : 4 x 6 - hold 1sec at the top on every rep
  3. Lats pulldown : 2 x 8 wide grip, 2 x 8 medium grip, 2 x 8 close grip palm facing each other
  4. Dumbell pullover : 3 x 15
  5. Barbell curls 1.5 : 3 x 8. One rep = bring the bar all the way up, go back down, bring the bar half way up, go back down
  6. Machine preacher curls : 4 x 12. - Hold and squeeze 1 sec at the top on every rep
  7. Hammer curls : 3 x 8 - slow and very controlled negative
  8. Hyperextensions : 2 x failure. If you can get more than 20 use a weight or bands

I hope everything is ok with you man.

Hey everyone,

Not posted in a while - as you can see on the news egypt is fucked again.

Curfew 7pm - 6am. Weird hours at the gym, shops closed etc worked is fucked as well. Shops pretty much have no meat or poultry and fresh vegetables are hard to come by.

Luckily where i live is pretty far away from the violence maybe 10 miles or so. So i’m safe, just bored to hell and eating what is available.

Still training but diet is pretty much what i can get hold off at the moment. Have whey etc and trying to get hold of what protein sources are there.

Honestly my diet is not a priority at the moment, my 2 businesses are struggling now and i plan on moving back to the uk within the next month or so. So i have a lot on my plate at the moment (not food wise lol).

Watch this space anyway. I’m around when i can be. Just guna try n maintain my weight at the moment. Will be back on this as soon as i am able.

Thanks!

Thanks zraw for the info - this will be my plan of action as soon as i’m able.

If you are no longer around i might tag you on instagram will my progress pics. Thanks for all your help.

Glad everythings ok, things are going from bad to worse out there.

Where will you move to in the UK?

I’ll check on occasionally but yep instagram is faster

Dont worry about the diet right now, if anything ur eating less calories, you know what food to avoid and im sure you will not overeat right now, food choices doesnt matter as much. You could diet on protein powder, candies and peanut butter tbh

Pretty sure focus #1 oughta be GTFO Egypt. Just wanted to post that instead of “yeah but watch your protein” or something. Big old dose of 2 cents but I bet you of all people agrees hahaha.

I am currently in a sector of Bangkok that had major violence a few yrs back, and when I got here there were rumors of protests again…not even close to cool stuff. Take care.

I’m from Manchester originally so moving back there. Investing into a supplement distribution company with my friend which should be fun.

Where you at?

Oxford. So now I have to exchange the London accent I apply to all your posts for a Man-ches-star one lol!

Can you maintain your other businesses from here or are you selling them off? Or looking to move back to Egypt in the long term?

Guna travel in between, come back to egypt every few weeks to maintain, i have a good manager here but i can handle most things online etc. So we’ll see how it goes!

Thankfully i don’t have a Gallagher style accent lol.

The long distance business thing is viable with the good people you say you have. Not sure of your whole situation, just throwing out some reassurance from a position of experience.

$$$ from the USA, livin’ in SE Asia for the year.

I hope i can pull it off!

still at it?

Yo Marzouk, where you at habibi?! Have you grown a beard and been mistaken for a Salafist?!

I’m back.

Are you leaner and bigger?

Welcome back! Update?

It’s been a hard 3 months!

Moved countries, moved house, built a shop and warehouse, built a website and getting back into the gym!

I’m stronger, not as lean but not put fat on.

The last 3 months have been about survival and not training. My new busines is set up and i’m back in routine not to mention i pretty much have unlimited supplements. Hopefully i’ll have Biotest products on my site soon for speedy Uk delivery!
