Paradoxically, it isn’t at all unusual for one dropping weight to look worse before looking better.
It probably has something to do with the muscles flattening out a bit and not molding the fat as flatteringly as before. Maybe the lack of calories and addition of cardio catabolizes brain tissue leading to acute bouts of dementia.
That mind fuck is why so many permabulkers never truly lean out. Just remember that what you’re feeling is extremely common and keep busting ass in all the ways that you know will help preserve your muscle. It will be totally worth it.
Yeah i know what you mean. My pics are always the morning of my load as well so im completed depleted and its the 2nd day off the gym when i load so i’m even flatter.
My wife is travelling to the UK in 2 weeks for 2 months, so i won’t her to be shocked when she comes back. SO i really wana put the hammer down over the next 10 weeks and make huge changes.
Wana get down to 200lbs by the time she comes back, so Zraw if you’re reading this, sock it to me!
Well what needed to be said as already been said! Nothing to add!
Things are going good and if you want to compare once just for yourself i guess you could take pics 2 days after your load to see how you look when fuller
If you want some infos on how we determine wether we need to drop the cals, or lower/increase the load time feel free to ask, I dont mind sharing that info

Honestly the pics don’t really bother me, i know i’m losing muscle its just part of the process.
As for dropping the cals etc, it’s all good just let me know what you want me to do, and when it needs to be done.
The changes from last week i think will make a difference and keep me going for a while, already from last week my weight dropped so it’s obviously working.

I’ll just stick to doing what i’m told :)
Who says you are losing muscle bro? I doubt you are. You’re probably just losing fat around the delts/arms first, and flat from lack of carbs, so right now just feel ‘small’ in the arms/chest/delts while feeling ‘big’ in the waist/stomach. You don’t lose fat evenly everywhere on your body most the time. You’re doing good, but get the ‘I’m losing muscle’ idea out of your head lol

Yeah i get ya, my workouts are intense and my protein is high etc and intra workout and post workout nutrition is dialled in as well so it s just a mental illusion and stuff.
Not trying to sound like a dick, but just trying to be real with you from my recent experience.
If you think it’s a mind fuck now, wait until you drop to sub 200 and are flat and depleted. You are still very much overweight and this is NOT the look-like-shit “transition” period people are referring to during a hard cut. You still have a ways to go before you hit that. I hate to say it, but I’m starting to agree with Walkway now that you need to set your sights realistically on a weight of about 170 to be shredded.
Fortunately, you’ll have so much momentum going by that point you’ll be able to plow right through those tough transition points.

Sub 200 he’ll be ripped to shreds. You tracking your bodyfat MarZ? It might be an idea and should set your mind at ease regarding the muscle loss. Keep up the good work.

what number do you have in mind? “Sub 200” is a pretty broad range…

I agree…as in at 165-170…which is in fact sub 200.
Strength and energy are fine, not going down, trying to add weight every week to the bar and its kinda working, especially for the leg exercises.
Feel leaner in the rib area and upper back. Hard to see on the pics.
Looking at the pics i feel like i look worse each time i take a new set. But i guess its the just the journey!
5 weeks down, and i still have no intention of stopping, honestly i though i would of thrown in the towel after 2 weeks. But no chance of that now!
Seems like you have some momentum… Keep up the good work!

Only time will tell, but at 2lbs a week from now that means id have to be dieting for at least another 30 + weeks, which sucks dick lol. The diet is sustainable but almost 10 months of it will be horrific!
Just guna keep going and see where i end up, some guys look huge at 170 and at the end of the day all this extra fat is just causing me problems so i’m better off without it.
Also i’ve said before i’m not interested in getting ripped to shreds maybe 10-12%.
Not tracking BF, too fat for calipers and the electric ones aren’t accurate. Plus i’m pretty positive there is no hydrostatic weighing or Bod pods in Cairo.

I see why you changed your opinion, the 20lbs i’ve lost already have pretty much made no difference to the way i look right? So the next 34 lbs will take me to 200 lbs which doesn’t seem like enough to make a huge enough difference.
When i see my pics they look horrendous but when i look down at myself or in the mirror it doesn’t seem that bad. But self delusion is a bitch.
I’ve been down to 200 3 years ago i was a lot smaller and abs were nowhere near visible but saying that since then i’ve put on a of mass since then.
Think we need to forget the speculation and just see where i end up.

oh god who cares? He’ll be ripped when he’s ripped. It’s all just guesswork at this stage
I waited to do this but ive added green tea to my diet for its ‘fat burning’ properties. Drink half a gallon a day while at my desk. Supposedly it boosts HGH as well.
