Yep most surgeons won’t do this for adults.
Woke at 261.7 lbs, looking similar to yesterday. Got 10 hours on the CPAP. Throat still hurts but only a fraction of yesterdays bullshit.
Oh…
Ok, so today has been a win in that I’ve felt better and better as the day went on. That means I should be able to get a full week of training next week, abs then it’ll be deload again.
I’m starting to wonder if maybe it will take more than a month or so on the CPAP to rectify the damage done by what I estimate to be at least six months of really bad apnea. I can only imagine the stress was cumulative and isn’t something that will go away in the blink of an eye.
Woke at 263.9 lbs, looking only very slightly more bloated than yesterday. Which is salt, as I did not eat very much at all. Ok, and maybe general inflammation from being sick. Got nine hours on the CPAP. Throat feels almost entirely normal so tracking well.
Always need a rest period to help the body recover
Sunday conditioning
800 metre walk
11x30 metre sprints up 10 degrees and walk back - the first two and last two were harder than I expected. First two because it took longer to accelerate, last two because I was tired. I’m guessing that’s just being a bit sick
800 metre walk
It took around 200 metres of the second walk for my breathing to return to normal. Just noting that for reference.
Also, tallied up my weights again (I do it around once a month). I’m still gaining but the average is around half a pound a week for the last six or seven weeks. I’ve added a total of 8.2 pounds (in terms of average weekly weight) over the last 18 weeks. Initially I was gaining around a pound a week, but from around week 12 it slowed to around half a pound.
Woke at 261.5 lbs, looking a little less bloated. Started having stomach pain and some nausea in the evening and then got woken up at midnight by some more stomach pain and associated shenanigans. I suspect it’s a reaction to the antibiotics I got given. I searched their side effects and the first to come up with that. Since my throat is fine now I’m going to back off the antibiotics and see if the pain and nausea goes. If it does, probably the antibiotics and I’ll stop taking them (I look at that as the lesser of two evils).
Stomach definitely happier with no morning antibiotics. Win.
Todays training
Circuit, three rounds - 10 bracing hip thrusts, air squats, two sled shuttles, shoulder distraction
SuperD double band thing
10x10 seconds bracing 90/90
Squat
Worked up to
3x1x490 lbs bare knee
4x490 lbs in wraps at seven revolutions - that was an AFSAP. It if was an AMRAP I think I’d have done six or seven
So that was a very pleasing little thing. First single came up so easily I couldn’t quite believe it, the other two were work but absolutely fine.

My best ever without wraps is 500 lbs for one.
Goblet squats
4x10x70 lbs
Back extensions
2x15x55 lbs - these procuded a pretty obnoxious pump in my Christmas tree area
Lat pulldowns
10x143 lbs - too light
2x10x154 lbs - almost too heavy but not quite
All up an hour and 30 minutes, because these days my warmup takes around 15 and stretching five to 10.
Sounds like a solid session Mark. Nice work
Thanks mate. I’m pretty pleased.
Is the throat or glands or whatever all good now
Apparently ![]()
I’m just taking it as it comes right now

Woke at 261 lbs, looking similar to yesterday. Got around eight hours on the CPAP. Throat glands started swelling up yesterday evening and are still a bit up this morning but it isn’t really painful. I’ll just take some NSAIDs and hope.
