Isn’t there a national push / pull meet in December up there somewhere !! Saying this tongue in cheek knowing you are focused on full comps right now.
December first, yes. It’s cool and all but doesn’t count towards nationals.
Ok, so my throat is over halfway closed and inside my ears and throat feels like it’s been sandpapered. Swallowing hurts like hell too, so I’m waiting at the doctor’s now.
Yikes. Get better soon man!
It’s a trivial thing but sore throats are my least favourite ailment. They just make me miserable AF. It’s been like that since I was a kid. I do have pretty big tonsils, to the point that I could rock up to a new doctor on any given day and there would be a fair chance they would think I have tonsillitis. So I guess that might explain it.
Or not. Turns out I’m running a 38+ degree fever, my tonsils aren’t really swollen but the glands under them are. Yay. Glandular fever, the sweet 16 gift that keeps on giving.
I would like to note that I dislike fevers. Still not quite as much as sore throats though.
Is your cat albino?

Almost. She’s got a couple of sprinkles of dark fur on her head. Still not really good in the sun, which she seems to know.
Yep, you explain it well. As I live in very small country, we don’t have these rounds-only 3 national competitions- equipted , classic and bench press only. In fact we have no more than 30 competitors summary at all classes , hahaha.
You 've been shrunk last night, man ![]()
Ah, shit. Typo again.
Photobombed by the cat - again wasn’t there another one where the cat was there.
Not sure but you seem to have build a little more muscles as in not as fat looking.
Be aware with the head, those 2 second paused squats builds up tension, but you found out.
Looking like an absolute tank there bud.
@mortdk thanks mate. I’m glad you said it, because I thought that might be the case but thought that could be wishful thinking. Definitely wouldn’t have done another set of pauses.
@mattjp thanks also. I’m getting there.
I’m in the same boat. Except there’s a real chance I might. I’ve had swollen tonsils pretty steadily since childhood.
Sucks, no?
Except apparently this time it was glands, not tonsils they swelled up. Different anti-inflammatory and some good painkillers with antibiotics and I’m starting to feel a bit better.
It kinda sucks. Haven’t had a bad case since uni, so I pretty much just ignore it these days and hope it goes away.
Then get your tonsils removed??
Glad somebody said it lol
I was told by an ENT surgeon that the risk of complications is higher as an adult.
