I’m no chump @losthog, I used protection ![]()
Some of them are complaining about how quick it ended
When you’re working down a list, there’s no time for niceties
Ok, funny thing. I’m still using MyFitnessPal. I take a lot of the values with a grain of salt, but it’s good enough to track for me.
Because I’ve been hovering around 242 lbs for most of this month I figured I need to increase my minimum intake again
so I went in and adjusted my settings. I had my goal weight at 242 lbs until now, so I adjusted it to 264 lbs with a gain of half a pound a week.
The funny thing is that the calorie target it came back with was 3940 cal/day. My average intake over October has been 3900 cal/day. So apparently I’ve been hitting what MyFitnessPal thinks I need to…
Every time I weigh 250 or more My Fitness Pal celebrates and asks me to take a picture ![]()
Stupid app doesn’t realize what it’s asking.
Woke at 246.4 lbs, except looking less bloated than I have for about a week. So WTF, but win.
Woke at 245 lbs, looking similar to yesterday.
Left knee feeling a bit thick. Been like that since Friday. Lower back is meh after much couch time on the weekend.
Todays training
Reverse hyper, air squats, planks
Squat, walked out
5xbar/60 lbs
5xplate/176 lbs
6x2x291 lbs
15x291 lbs - exertion headache hit around rep 10. Shot up through my traps and right into the centre of my head
5x291 lbs
Work sets with 10 second rests, all up four minutes and five seconds. Had to go over the 10 seconds between the doubles and 15 and the 15 and five. Couldn’t quite get the aggressive descent we aim for, mostly because my lower back was ok but not golden. Decided against a belt.
Sat with an icepack on the back of my neck for a while until the pain stopped being agonising
BBer squat
2x10x291 lbs - real issues hitting depth with the narrower stance
Had to sit down a bit again
Squat 21s
One set with 291 lbs
Not quite as horrible as I expected, but then again I was kind of inured by the preceding 10 sets ![]()
Headache back, but not quite terrible
Goblet squats
2x10x70 lbs
Didn’t help that headache
Lat pulldowns
5x10x132 lbs
All up and hour and a half. This was one of the most physically demanding sessions I’ve ever had. Mentally, nothing extreme. That was Friday.
That’s some volume right there
Great word!
That squat session looks like a vomit producer
That was a lot of knee bending Mark.
when you say
is that for the doubles: 2 reps 10 second pause 2 reps 10 second pause
and for the set of 15 and 5: 10 seconds pause between each rep? (I would guess with the bar on the back right)
Woke at 246.2 lbs, bloated AF.
@mortdk from the first double to the five 10 second rests.
Throughout the course of the day it became apparent that I’m coming down with something. Nothing terrible, just noticeable. Explains why my energy has been a bit low since yesterday and why I was so damn bloated this morning.
Todays training
Band work, kb halos (right shoulder/pec join has been a bit off recently), pull-ups (seven), hand release push-ups
Bench press
5xbar
5xplate
3x176 lbs
4x2x231 lbs
11x231 lbs
It hit me that for the first time I can bench two plates for 10 at will. Next stop three plates.
CGBP to a 2-board, three second pause on the board every last rep
3x5x192 lbs
Dips
4x10
Tricep pushdown
15x33 lbs
15x44 lbs - should’ve used this for both sets
Inverted rows
3x10 - these are getting easier. Probably because we’re doing them more
RDFs
2x15x38 lbs
Front plate raise
2x10x44 lbs
All up an hour and 45 minutes because I wasn’t pushing the pace at all.
Did you read a book as well!! That’s slow for you Mark but probably wisenif your starting to feel under the weather
Just about. I knew I wasn’t 100% so I didn’t push it.
I have said it before, you a very wise my friend. Hopefully a good sleep will see you right. Take it easy.
Good work man
I’m getting close to a two plate. 10. And yes I realize my two plate is lighter than yours…
Woke at 243.5 lbs, bloating noticeably reduced. Stiff AF and feeling pretty drained.
Not too sure what you mean @losthog, I think your two plates is slightly heavier because you’re using 45s, while mine are 20 kg (44 lbs).
