Amen. Starting people out with pushups is an exercise in utter futility. None of them can ever perform one through the full range of motion, and they lack the core strength to stabilize themselves 99 times out of 100. Give them some back support and light dumbells, however, and you can get them progressing much faster.

I did wayyyyyyyy better than 55 pounds in 5 weeks. Sorry i have no pics but in 5 days i gained 30 pounds.
I was in an induced coma in an hospital bed. When i woke up i had a 5 months pregnant belly and i am a man. There were so many tubes plugged in me i was bed ridden for 9 days. My bed had a scale inbedded in it, on a wall there was a board with dates and weight. When i read it i noticed i missed 5 days. I was happy to be moved out of ICU(intensive care unit)a bit later. Maybe weighting me daily was by employees betting on explosion day?
My bulk success: bleeding ulcer, no food, just liquid drip (11 days).
paulie great tread ! For me “permabulking” is a new 1.
sort of bummed that paulie never actually wrote about his path.
One thing in particular I noticed is that Paulie let himself get very heavy before cutting down. Paulie, do you now endorse that? How heavy did you get? What made you decide to cut when you did?
What does your week look like regarding exercise selection? If you’re (essentially) just doing compound movements, does that mean you’re only doing like 3 or 4 exercises per workout?
