I hope he atleast goes to Japan and fights once or twice just so we can see him throw some guys out of the ring.
But he needs to compete in this years WSM first.
I’m fairly sure he’s retired from WSM.
WHAT!!!
WSM is in less than a month I think and Marsuiz is confirmed as far as everyone knows.
That is what i thought, All I keep hearing and reading is Poundstone is looking to make a run and knock off Pudz.
I love Pudz but go Poundstone.

My bad. He’d announced retirement from strongman in the Polish press months ago, but must have changed his mind.

If Pud has to come off the juice its going to hit him hard.
You all realize hes been on for a long time for strongman.
AS IS, in his strong man form, he would crush almost anyone else in his weight class.
It would be like trying to fight a tractor. Talk all you want about speed, conditioning, agility, footwork, whatever…no one is going to win against a fucking John Deer.
Your only hope would be a foot/ankle lock or something, you would have to target a weak joint. Arm bars and such wouldent even work, he could pull out of it.

I’m not saying this contentiously, it’s a serious question. Have you trained in grappling and/or boxing or MMA? Just curious.

You think GSP, who’s been wrestling for 5-6 years and did not wrestle as a child, has more knowledge/skill in wrestling AS A WHOLE, than a collegiate wrestler who’s been wrestling since he was a toddler?
No way. He’s skilled with the aspects of wrestling that apply to his game, like takedowns, but if he were to have a wrestling match with a legitimate college wrestler, he would get teched.
And he was someone who was invited to try out for the national team, which in no way guarantees him a spot in any level of national competition.
That is pretty retarded thinking, BJ Penn started BJJ late yet I bet his knowledge is far and above most black belts.
Does BJ compete in BJJ tournaments? Yes
Does GSP compete in wrestling tournaments? No

He did, he has been going back and forth saying statments like that for awhile now. He is the Bret Farve of strongman! (expect he still wins) Just got to wait and see what actually happens.

…you serious?
At the age of seventeen, Penn began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after being introduced to it by his neighbor, Tom Callos.[7] Callos had put up fliers in local gyms looking for people to train with,[8] and BJ’s father Jay Dee Penn had rung Callos and said his boys were interested.[7] Callos then taught BJ and his brother what he knew.[8]
In 1997 Penn began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Ralph Gracie, eventually earning his purple belt from Gracie.[9] At that point he moved to Nova União where he was eventually awarded his black belt in 2000 by Andre Pederneiras.[9] A few weeks later he became the first non-Brazilian to win the black-belt division of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.[10] While most people need a decade or more to become a black belt, Penn had, with only three years of training, not only received a black belt but defeated people who had been training their entire lives on his way to winning the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship.[11]
There is a video I remember seeing showing kimbo yes kimbo knocking out tank abbout 600 pound bench and another powerlifer world champ get fuked up. Bob sapp. He fights small guys and loses and I know what you might say(that bob sapp is not a athlete)well he made it to the NFL even though he got cut it the fukin NFL. Altough PUdz is going to have more condtioning and strength than bob sapp tank abbout that does not make him a good fihter. He might win some fights fighting little guys but many times I could see him loseing. Just cause there are born strong does not mean that they will be good at fighting. If all the powerlifters decided to have a background in fighting does that mean that they would be good?
