You are using it incorrectly. It’s coke, preferably a “key blast” per-workout…then pot post workout to facilitate the calming of the CNS. Actually, a Pot/Herion stack is best…but that’s only for the truly hardcore.

Or, if you are really tired and feel like working out and then walking to East St. Louis, just take some Crystal Meth pre-workout.

Well I guess I asked for it. It seems like a few people were sincere in responding to my thread with comments, but for the most part I just got made fun of with lame stoner jokes and refrences to hard drugs which I’ve never touched in my life. Obviously there are a lot of people out there who have never smoked, but are brainwashed by government commercials and the D.A.R.E program and stupid shit like that.

Marijuana is no where in the same ballpark as meth, coke,heroin etc…:, and from what I’ve heard much better on your body than alchohol. I’m not some dumbass though, so at least respect my question and don’t treat me like an idiot. I’m going to graduate with a masters in Petroleum engineering in a year, so I’d say my position in life is probably a hell of a lot better than most of yours (probably upper management of ececutive for major oil companies, among the working class’s most elite). Not trying to be conceded, but just showing that not all people who smoke are stupid stoners, which I assumed was common knowledge.

But anyway I’ve read of other bodybuilders doing it before a workout (like swartzenagger), so some people do think it helps, but obviously anyone who has never done it seems to know much more about it than me. right.

C/j, I’m not anti-marijuana zealot. But think about it a little logically. If something alters your perception enough that it’s inadvisable to drive, is it really a good idea to go lift heavy weights?

Hey man, i agree with everything you said about weed and i think the people who have the most to say about weed have never tried it before. i hate when people try to link it to some bull called “amotivational syndrome” because they were probably lazy before they even started smoking anyway and you cant just blame it on the weed. And to those of you who think that people who smoke weed are just stoners stuck on the couch watching cartoons probably have never been to college because some of te most motivated and succesfull student i know have habits that would kill your little D.A.R.E program.When it comes to wokring out though, just save it for after cause nothing feels better than a hard-ass workout then a protein shake and a joint to ease the pain. I would say it’s the best for listening to music. I could actually hear every word of Zepplin songs. It was badass!

I only smoked for 2 months. That was back in Oct.-Dec. of last yr at the age of 28. I just decided that in the long run it would get me in trouble or mess up my health in some way. Actually, my eyes were always bloodshot & it looked awful.

I never got the chance to have sex after smoking, I heard it was the best. Is it?!

I think you missed the point of my earlier post. To elaborate:

I think you can agree that preworkout weed is not going to catapult you into some new realm of physical developement, if it has any effect at all. It clearly has some negative effects, as does deeply inhaling any form of smoke.

However, it is an undoubtably enjoyable experience. (Like Chris Rock said about crack “Nobody sells anybody crack”)

So, if it probably has some negatives, and no overwhelming positives from a training perspective and it is merely recreational, use it as such. Make it a “treat”, just like when you eat-attack the buffet. Don’t do it often and do it purposefully so you can enjoy it. Don’t try to rationalize it in term of your training goals. Realize that it is a vice and be respectful of and realistic about what that entails, positive and negative.

Well, you know, it depends actually. Some types of cannabis can cause an erection to fade. Other strains turn your wang into a tent pole. Usually it seems it cranks up the libido in the ladies.

Most erectile dydfunction is caused by the blood vessels in the penis not dilating fast enough. Basically the blood rushes into your dick faster than it can leave and then presto! you have an erection. OH Yes, smoking after a work out is the way to be. O the days of working out with a dealer lol haha. But honestly I have done it before a work out (I’m a stonner I’ll admit it, I’ve done it before everything) and if you really want to work out, leave smoking for after, or on your days off. Get in the gym sober, and focus. If you really want to reach your goals you shouldn’t need anything other than motivation to help you focus.

I really dont think that it could help you during a work out , its worse than being drunk but i love the mind-body thing it gives so yeah it would be great after a work out on the weekend. Just smoke a J and relax, hey i’ve seen the gov’ner of california arnold smoke a J. Just dont turn into a pothead and lazy and lose all your goals in life for some freaking weed. Use it as the icing on the cake at a party once in a while or something.

I’m glad some stoners actually responded with similar situations and opinions to me and what I was dealing with. My piss test I passed 2 months ago after about a 3 month sober run (just to be safe). This weekend I lifted without smoking, and decided its best to save the weed for after.

I do think I get a little bit better feeling for pre workout, but I’d rather wait until after to smoke, and help up my food (and especially protein) intake with munchies). Hopefully this will help me start packing on the pounds, while keeping my workout naturally intense. But for all the critics who have never touched the stuff, give it a rest unless you can speak from personal experience.
