Oh, that’s awesome. I just looked it up and it looks like it is part of the CPU. Still trying to wrap my head around all the different organizations…VERY new to this.
Thank you!

Squats- Phase 1: Death by volume.
135 x 5
225 x 5
285 x 8reps x 10sets
Well that was probably more reps of the back squat than I’ve done cumulatively over the past month. Legs held up well, lower back was pumped up. I didn’t time rest periods, but a couple were shorter and really got the lungs going, others were longer and went pretty smooth.

Ah, nothing really ‘clicked’. I haven’t really watched a “how to” for hook grip in awhile (since I’ve started implementing it) and I’m seeing where people are tearing their thumb skin. That part of the thumb isn’t even touching the bar for my hook grip, so I think I need to re-evaluate what I’m doing vs what the world is doing.

Shoulder Pre-Hab - This is my typical band pullaparts, band facepulls, and broom shoulder dislocates. I don’t really track numbers, I just go until I feel the right muscles starting to fatigue.

Holy crap, that shrimp looks amazing. Any chance you feel like sharing the recipe?
Thank you! I’d like to claim to be a culinary genius, but I prefer to keep my meals simple.
I believe that was just butter and onion powder added to the pan with shrimp and asparagus. Very easy!
@littlesleeper @Fishdog70 I was wondering the same but am happy it’s simple
I hate complicated especially when life is so busy. I just want to go home and fix something fast to eat!!
Yep, exactly! My meals are often being cooked during my workout. I run up, check the chicken, flip the potatoes and stir the veggies, etc.
I use the 80/20 rule for training AND cooking. 80% of the results/taste come from 20% of the work/ingredients. Sure the food may be a little tastier if I added 10 different spices/herbs but my meals are more than edible, and are quite painless to make! That’s a win in my book.
Now I know the secret to your conditioning!
The only time I run is to the dinner table and my conditioning still sucks, life isnt fair LOL

Oatmeal crisp, protein powder and almond milk was my preworkout meal tonight. It is usually proatmeal, but wifey was having cereal…and uh…didn’t want her feeling alone…or something.
Steak for dinner!
Very impressive on the bench!
That’s a very good way of looking at it!! You are a smart man Mr. Sleeper!
@losthog - Thank you! Still a work in progress. I’m looking forward to the day I hit a 405lb bench!
@countrygirl2016 - Work smarter, not harder!
Morning weight 212.8lbs (forgot to weigh in until I’d already consumed a banana and peanut butter, so probably already under 210, jk)
Leg DOMS is here! Yesterday wasn’t bad, but sitting down to a toilet today was not fun. 80reps of 285lbs on Monday, the DOMS does not come as a complete surprise.
And guess what tomorrow is?? SKWATS! Tomorrow is my birthday and wifey told me I need to get my workout done in the morning because she has something planned after work tomorrow. So that should just add to the ass kicking that 315lbs for multiple sets of 8 will bring…hooray for morning workouts…
Happy Early Birthday! Hit the squats hard, but save the hip thrusts for later! ![]()
Haha, thanks! Maybe that’s the real reason she wanted me to squat in the morning…she is factoring in recovery.
Soo… are you taking requests for ketchup chips??
Ketchup chips, my homemade maple syrup and apparently Kinder Surprises as well!
I like the first two. I have no idea what kinder surprises are, but I bet I’d like them too lol. Oh and poutine, damn that’s some good stuff!
Haha, they are little chocolate egg treat for kids. They have a little plastic capsule inside the eggs that you open and have a little toy, often in pieces with instructions for you to put together.
Yes, poutine is the ‘drunk food’ of Canadians. A guilty pleasure, for sure. Poutine shops are very strategically located in areas with a high density of bars.
Lol, that looks awesome but I’m 100% positive that in the States some parent would sue after they let their kid swallow the whole thing. This is why we can’t have nice things!
Dude it’s so good, I ate so much of it in Vancouver. We can get cheese curds at the nicer liquor stores around here. I see it in my near future.
