Ah, ok gotcha!
Excellent, happy to hear we are on the same page with that.
That looks nice for a deadlift plan. I’m looking forward to starting it up on Monday, thanks a lot man!

635 x 0.75 ← Hook grip failed me, but lift felt surprisingly smooth, so…
665 x 0 ← Strapped up and broke the floor, but I wasn’t in it to grind so I let it go. Would have been a 10lb PR. It’s there.
I didn’t feel like doing a ton after this, so I hit a little finisher that kicked my ass pretty good.
3 Rounds as fast as possible:
Back Squat
135 x 20reps
AirDyne
15cals (Rnd 1 -1:35, Rnd 2 - 1:21, Rnd 3 - 0:52)
Today I’ve been listening to Stan Efferding’s rants and a podcast with him and Ben Pakulsi, so my dinner was somewhat influenced by him (he spoke several times about steak, rice, spinach so my cravings followed).
Stan knows food. His info on estrogen influences and testeone productions related to soy and ground turkey opened my eyes to think deeper into diet than the substance on the plate. I’m not sure I’ll ever make enough to buy organic bison but I see the high protein low fat advantage.
Strong !
The last 665, just after you let it go. It’s like you told yourself, damn I should have pulled the damn thing.
I really enjoy listening to Stan. Well spoken, has the experience (both in PL and BB), is a successful businessman (in a few areas) and appears to be a genuinely good guy. There are definitely worse people to go to for your information!
Haha thanks man. I told myself going into the rep that if it moved quick I’d be happy but I wasn’t prepared to grind for it. I made up my mind to quit the rep just before it broke the ground. There was definitely a small bit of contemplating going on in my head during the pull lol
Well, unexpectedly woke at 211.4lbs (weight PR) this morning. Slept in until about 8:30am so maybe the additional time fasting led to this? Weighed myself a few times to be sure!
Fairly active day today with chores and took the dogs for a couple walks as well. Tomorrow will be the last day of maple syrup production for the year. We are expecting to end up with over 50L of syrup after it is all said and done.
This was last week’s batch all bottled.
So do you drink all that Jim Beam in the syrup off season?
We know a few Jim Beam drinkers. We buy our booze in 60oz bottles and half the time they are plastic and prefer to bottle in 40oz or less bottles to sell/giveaway.
Did you say sell?
You bet! $20 for a 40oz and $15 for a 26. Obviously a better price to go with the 40oz, most of our 26’s just get given away to family or people who helped out.
We use a ton of maple syrup…having an artisan product in a cool bottle would be “sweet”

The gmails.
Email sent! (it might be wise to tag me on here if you send me an email, as that is one is mainly my lifting/forums account that isn’t linked to my cell phone)
Woke at 211.8lbs this morning. I’m happy to still be hanging around in the 211lb club to know that yesterday wasn’t a random outlier. Hopefully see 210.X by the end of next week!
Sent you one
Easily the most Canadian thing I’ve ever heard haha
Haha, this log provides Canadian culture to my 'murican (et al.) friends!
Morning weight 212.8lbs this morning. We didn’t eat dinner until about 9pm last night, so I’m assuming that played a role.
Still getting our house ready for sale, and down to the last few items before listing it. This week will be busy and then we will be temporarily moving in with my Dad for the week that our house is being shown. This will just make it easier to keep the house clean/staged for viewing.
This evening will be Day 1 of my 12 week “@BOTSLAYER’s Prep and Peak Program” (BP&PP - teehee) for my first PL competition on June 9th.
OPA comp???
It is actually a CPL meet which is being hosted by Elite Powerlifting Canada (EPC). I’m not sure how this compares to OPA? EPC is a fairly recent organization that has been hosting some CPL meets close to me, so I decided to jump into the CPL for their meets.
Gotcha. My work friend is competing in niagra on the same day! Thought it might be the same one. Good luck!
