anyone have a solid diet plan out there for cutting weight to make a weight class? I don’t have a meet until April, but wanting to figure out a solid system way before then–not just cut like crazy and be weak the day of the meet.
I currently hover around 160 (16-18% body fat) and want to compete in the 148 class. I think I need to train at a few pounds lighter to make my performance goals attainable and not put them at risk from a drastic cut. Shooting for an elite total (760lbs) with usapl–works out to about a 265lbs squat, 160lbs bench and 335 dead lift.
Really close to those numbers now–just have to keep working for the next few months:
squat: 230 x 5
bench: (working on my pause this lift has the farthest to go): 135 x 3
dead lift: 320 x 6
On top of diet–water weight tricks, anyone?
try some carb backloading or intermittent fasting
There is no way those are the numbers for an elite total, even for a woman.
Silver, hes prob like 14. so those are teen numbers. because yeah no way that shit would even fly in juniors
According to this chart, Elite Total, Raw, Women, 148 Class=756 lbs.

The chart for powerlifting watch has it a little more, but not much, 773 lbs.

And I don’t see a lot of women in my gym deficit deadlift-repping 300 for 8:

OP, this is the best article I have seen on making weight.
Also, the guy on here who cuts like a mofo is liquid mercury. He has some pretty impressive techniques to manipulate water.
I would also second Keifer’s Carb Night Solution for cutting and Carb Backloading for maintenance.
