Maintaining Gains from One Cycle?

Will spare you the details but I’ve been unable to train due to illness for the past year and previously played recreational sport to a high level. I’ve since lost about 10lbs of muscle, a fair bit of strength and put on about 10lb of fat.

I have never used before and never intended to due to not needing more size than I could gain naturally, but understand howto plan a cycle and I fully understand diet etc and have a long training history.

However I want to get back to my previous body composition and strength and would like to do it before my pre season starts - 3 months away.

Would a low dose 8 week test cycle, say 300mg pw be reasonable for this? I know people say they wil only do one cycle but I would have no need for another one back to my previous level of fitness.
