Thanks for the tips. I plan on avoiding cardio for the most part for 2 weeks. I do use a 10-15 minute warm-up before my lifting sessions, but I did that all throughout my MAG-10 cycle and will continue the same thing along with 10-15 minutes of stretching. I’ve just adopted this Ian King recommendation for about a month now and I really enjoy it. It provides a time to focus and think about my workout and allows time to get my body ready for an intense workout.
I’ve already had great results from Mag-10, I went from 174# at 9%bodyfat to 191# at 10% in two cycles. Now I’m interested in doing Mag-10 along with T2pro to gain a little more lean body mass and take my bodyfat down. Has anyone experimented with this yet. In the issue189 Steroid Dieting article suggested for a 200 pound guy to have 300 grams protein, 50 grams of carbs, and 25 grams of fat for a total of 1625 calories. I have pretty much no experience with losing fat and maintaining muscle mass because I’ve always been lean. In a previous post Bill recommended less protein than this and instead more carbs and fat, but that seems to go against what I expected to hear, but I trust him and remember him saying carbs are important when on mag-10, I just wanted some other opinions to help me figure out the optimal strategy. Thanks in advance!
Interesting question here: A friend of mine tried Mag-10 and just finished the two post weeks with M and Tribex. He trained with Meltdown and diet was not important he stated he had not changed anything just a normal college diet. What got my attention was that he said that the results are similar to that of Stanazolol which he has tried. Would you guys say he’s pretty accurate in his comparison? or way off?
I just bought 3 bottles of the stuff. I am wondering if most people aren’t seeing results because they are at least slightly overtrained prior to the cycle. Perhaps a week off prior to the cycle may help. I am gonna try one dose for 2 weeks, if it doesn’t workout, the next cycle will be 2 doses per day for 2 weeks. Of course I am increasing volume, intensity and frequency for those 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks is done, I will take another lay off, a week or so, and just do some light pumping and/or HIIT.
From my observations, I would say that your goals would best be met by eating at maintenance and training hard during your next MAG-10 cycle. Keep a similar training protocol to what you had done in the past while on MAG-10, but eat 500-1000 calories less a day, with most still coming from protein, carbs, and EFA’s. This should allow for some lean body mass gain and a good amount of fat loss. The results from MAG-10 seem to be very much on a continuum based on how much one eats. When someone eats big (+1000 cals/day above maintenance) they gain muscle and maybe a little fat. When someone eats around maintenance, they gain less muscle, but also lose fat. When someone eats very hypocaloric, they lose fat quickly and are able to hold on to the majority of lean body mass, but not gain any. So in summary, while using MAG-10, the desired results are based on calories consumed. (Of course, I’m assuming a solid training protocol).
OK, I have had some great answers in the past, but next week I begin my first cycle of MAG10, My goal is to SHED bodyfat. Jason N gave some great advice, I want to hear from others with experience, how did you train during your MAG10 cycle and then during your tribex/M cycle. I am currently on my second week of old T2/MD6 3 X’s a day and Methoxy7 2 x’s a day. Another thing, is anyone using old T2/MD6 during their Mag10 cycle. Thanks in advance all.
I just finished my first two week cycle and I have to say I am pretty happy with the results. Although my diet and training weren’t all they could have been, I went from 188-194 lbs. with about 2 from fat. I got great pumps, felt very solid and recovered much quicker…also my strength increased quite a bit.
I have two questions...right now I'm using tribex (8 caps, 4 2xday) and M (3 caps a day), do any of you know if I'll keep gaining using this or if I'll lose a little weight and strength? Also, considering my current weight do any of you advise using 2 servings daily (2 x 1.5 caps)on my next cycle? Thanks for your help...Smitty
I frontloaded 2 doses on my first day yesterday,
ate approximately every 2.5- 3 hrs.
(1.5g protein/4g carbs/15g efa)I was surprised how hungry I was,even woke up 2:30 am starving
so got up and made a protein shake and a couple of cookies. Also drank 5 16oz.servings of water throughout the day. This morning the first pee was really dark and foamy,Im just curious if anyone might know if this is of significance or have similar experience.
You have to drink more. With all of the food you are eating, it takes a lot of water to metabolize everything well. Also, you are training hard and thus losing a lot of water due to sweat. Also, I found that I dropped about 4-6 lbs of weight each night with most of that being water. I found myself having a hard time drinking enough because my stomach was full of food, but you have to drink a ton of water or else you’re not going to have optimal results. Drink at least 2 gallons of fluid a day (go ahead and include the water you take in from milk and the water you mix your protein/MRP shakes with).
It’s been 4 days since my last MAG-10 dose. I’ve lost 2 lbs, but I attribute this to glycogen and water, because these stores would always be topped off while eating a lot of carbohydrates. I’m eating about 500 calories less than while on MAG-10 and less from carbs and more from fat. First workout was yesterday and my squats felt really strong. I was lifting more weight with perfect form. My appetite is up as compared to the time I was on MAG-10. While on MAG-10, I felt full all the time, but most likely due to the large amounts of carbohydrates. It is definately easier to eat more calories and less total food if you can eat a fair amount of them from fat. I also feel like I need to be hooked up to an IV while I’m sleeping. I’m dropping about 6 lbs a night (same thing happened while on MAG-10). Only about 1 lb of that is coming from my first morning pee. The rest is just glycogen, fat and water being metabolized and a loss of sweat and respiratory water. I feel like my metabolism is so high right now that I’m going to start having to eat everything in site if I keep making progress like this. So far I am very pleased with MAG-10 and will keep the forum posted on how well recovery is going (using Tribex and ZMA for T-support). I’ve got M on the way to add into this stack for T-support after my next cycle of MAG-10. It is really a phenomenal product.
Hey thanks for the response,it is hard to drink a lot with the extra food but Im peeing pretty normal now and weight is up about 4 pounds, and pumps are awesome.
monkeymind - Good to hear that man. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on the results. I’m travelling with my wife to see some friends in LA, so keeping the diet clean over the weekend is going to be tough, but I’ll do my best. At least our friends live only a few miles from a good gym.
I figured that I would bump this thing up and post my final results after 2 weeks MAG-10 and 2 weeks Tribex and ZMA. Lets just say that in the last two weeks, my diet has been anything buy optimal. On good days, I took in about 300g P, 350g C and 125g F and about 3700 cals. This was a little bit more than half the time. On other days, I took in a food but it was restaurant stuff and most of the time I made not so perfect decisions. Anyway at the start, my numbers are as follows, 197 lbs body weight, 169.18 lbs fat free mass, 27.82 lbs fat mass, 14.12% body fat. End of week 1, 203.6 lbs BW, 176.77 lbs FFM, 26.83 lbs FM, 13.18% body fat. End of week 2, 208 lbs BW, 181.38 lbs FFM, 26.62 lbs FM, 12.8% body fat. End of week 3, out of town and missed my measurements. End of week 4, 207 lbs, 178.43 lbs FFM, 28.57 lbs FM and 13.8% body fat. Over the course of 4 weeks, I added 9.25 lbs FFM and .75 lbs FM. I am very happy and now it is time for me to shed all this nasty fat. I’ve started cutting down and I’m not stopping until I see my abs and hit single digits for % body fat.
Isn’t it just lovely when you’ve made all kinds of great gains on Mag-10 and, just when you think you can sit back, relax, and enjoy them, you realize that you really can never be sure that those gains are even there unless you shed some bodyfat? Ahhhh…the tormented life of a bodybuilder. Luckily, I only did two cycles of Mag-10 for bulking, so I’m using my third for cutting at 1800 calories right now. Results have been pretty good (3.5 lbs. fat in 19 days [8 on Mag-10]. Tough to say whether I’ve lost any lean mass other than the initial 5-6 lb. drop due to water weight loss. I’m training on a 3 on, 1 off split with 20 minutes cardio after each workout and a 30 minute cardio session on every other off day if I feel up to it. I can’t wait for this to be over (treated myself to a carb up day today and had a good workout). I’ve set a goal of 6%, and I’m currently at 9.7%. Hopefully, I can drop another 2 lbs. by the end of this cycle, and then use Methoxy, Tribex, and M down the home stretch. Then, I’ll be taking a much needed rest week! So what are your plans in terms of diet and training to shed the fat and appreciate your gains? By the way…CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the “Soon to be ripped” Support Group…
My current plan is to use Hypertrophy Specific Training plus a lot of cardio. I know that cardio is considered a waste of time by many, but I believe that there is an advantage to eating more food and creating the negative energy balance via activity rather than calorie restriction. If you have not looked into HST, you can check it out a thinkmuscle.com. I think that it is an optimal workout regime to stimulate the muscles without destroying them. So aside from the 3 HST workouts a week, I’ll be adding at least 30 min cardio a day and up to an hour. I am also biking or rollerblading to work (5 mile roundtrip). I used to bike to school every day during college and I miss that. For diet, I’m using Don’t Diet at 2900 cals/day with an isocaloric breakdown and slightly more carbs on lifting days. Also using MD6 (3 per day), T2-Pro (3 per day), and tribex (2pills twice a day). I know that the label says 3 caps twice a day, but the original label said 4 caps twice a day and the potency was doubled, so I’m giving that a try. If I begin to lose any lean body mass, I may switch from Tribex to androsol or Methoxy-7. I may also add grean tea extract. I was drinking a few cups a day, but if you check out the thread on green tea that I started, you’ll see that I’ve decided to hold off on drinking tea for now. An HST cycle lasts 8 weeks plus one week of strategic deconditioning (basically a rest week). After that I will re-evaluate and go from there. It sounds like the keto diet is working well for you. Keep me posted on your results and maybe we should start a soon to be ripped support thread.
