Mag-10 and Andro

Sure, andro–run of the mill androstenedione does convert to estrogen and Testosterone (the older you are, the higher the conversion to E as opposed to T).

It can conceivably lead to prostate problems if used for long periods of time without taking something to block aromatase or prevent T from reducing to DHT.

MAG-10, however, contains 4-AD and 1-androst-1-ene, neither of which reduce to DHT or aromatize to estrogen.

HOWEVER, a small amount of 4-AD converts to Testosterone, and Testosterone can, as mentioned, reduce to DHT and aromatize to estrogen.

The conversion of 4-AD is small, but it does happen. Hence the cautionary note on the label.

Hi TC,

Does this mean that a senior T-man shouldn’t use Mag 10? Or yes use it, but just follow the label instructions and use M/Tribex/Alpha Male post cycle.

I need advise. I am 44 years young, been working out for three years. I am taking L-glutemine, DHEA (100 mg a day),Flax seed oil (1000 mg daily), creatine (1 tbl. spoon b-4 I lift), multi mineral and vitamin. I lft twice a week, both are full body routines with heavy loads, I use dead lifts, bench press, squats, bent rows, power cleans, leg curls and extentions, plus arm exercises. 7-9 exercise in each routine with 3-4 sets at 8-15 reps. Should I consider taking an andro type HELPER to boost my self along. I am 69 inches tall, weight is 225. I have increased my strength tremendously in the past 3 years, but I would like to lean out a little. ADVISE?

jahwarrior, why don’t you start your own thread so that more people will come across it and offer more assistance.

In regards to your question, I’ll say this much: your diet is the key to “leaning out a little.” I would use the andro to either:

builk up (which you don’t seem to be wanting to do AT THIS POINT)

OR

Use the andro to stave off catabolism when the diet gets low on calories, and you run a greater risk of losing muscle.

By the way…hope you know the differences between the andros, and know about post cycle recovery. I would search this site and read up about em, and look into getting that 4-AD-EC.
