LWI: Lifting With Inky

distracting camera angle you say? I totally didnt even notice at all… like not even one bit… cereally
AquaCruzer wrote:
Nice pulling! Do you know how much the bands take off the bottom?
I don’t know, there’s a conversion chart I have somewhere that says what each band contributes at different lengths, but I’m too lazy to check. Plus, it’ll just make me feel weak knowing I only pulled like, 72 pounds off the floor, but locked out 495. LWI is what it’s about though, right?

I’ll wear an apron for deads next time Greg, only an apron…

…and some metal from last night. Who else can jam Adele loud and proud on the way to the gym, PR to some Fear Factory, and return to Adele for the drive home?

Here ya go ink. They actually gave me a laminated card with all the calculation on it.

Yes, that’s it. I printed it out and laminated it, and it’s in my gym bag under the chalk and bands and all my PL toys.

So looking at that, they took off about 225, so it was like pulling 270 off the floor but hitting 495 at the lockout, which is a pretty decent ramp in weight over a matter of maybe 18". Although honestly, it feels heavier than 270, felt like breaking 350 off the floor. Whatever, I killed it, I’m happy

In other news…pay attention…I’ve decided on my next meet! The USAPL AZ State Championships is listed on PLWatch as being July 30th, so I’m going to do that one. Breaking 1000 shouldn’t be an issue here, providing my bench unfucks itself and steadily increases.

That is all, carry on

I did some RBDLs this weekend and it was harder on the grip than I thought it’d be. But it was nice locking out heavier weights than I normally would.

Definitly, and the bars at my gym are fat and shitty, so it’s even more awesome. Last time I tried and failed at 495 I had straps on. This time, no need, but it was a bitch to hang onto!

Also, there’s an August 10th meet that’s in the same fed (100% Raw) so that’ll save me the extra membership fee, I’ll probably do that one and it’s 11 days after the other one, so yeah, watch me go

LWI!!!

That’s a ‘heavy,’ PR there…noice!!!

And you mean breaking over 9000, right?

Obviously I mean OVER 9000 anytime we’re talking number here MiM!

Last night’s training was awesome to say the least. Volume out the ass, and I’m freakin beat up feeling this morning. Me likey.

Those felt awesome and will DEFINITLY continue on with those

Dips
BW x 15/15/12
*Haven’t done them in a while because my elbow would get bothered by them. I figured out a solution last night, and I HAVE to keep my elbows bacn and not let them flare at all or they hurt. Lesson learned, progression to come

Medicine Ball Pressdowns (On the assisted dip station)

95x10x2
*Triceps BURNING SO BAD

50’s x 8 x 2 Barely

Done. Took forever, and got home late, sipped some whey and ate some greek yogurt with chocolate whey and PB mixed in it (fucking epic, try it!), and was completely spent. Today, my whole upper back is sore, lats, forearms, tri’s, bi’s, not so much the chest though. I’ll smash that on DE day.

Oh, and down another lb today. I’ll quit getting on the scale, just needed to finally take measurements and shit. Off to nom some eggs.

Challenge accepted. The most I’ve RB benched was 315 for a triple. I will have to try and beat your 345.

Sweet stuff dude! Did reverse band benching the last week too dude, epic!

Bring it on, sucka. I’m going to keep it as an ME exercise for atleast another couple of weeks before changing it up and then going back around to it later. It’s awesome.

Diluted, thanks man, it IS epic! You’re in South Africa eh? I’m coming to blast up some of your fine plains game animals in 5 weeks!

Tough training Ink, damn.

See what the commercial gym has done for your training? Through the MF roof!

this is good shit, it inspires me. You’re an inspiration to me.

Inspired, I tell ya!

yep. Inspired.

For you Slipknot fans, I’m going to forever change the way you hear the following song. Just replace “psychosocial” with “ice cream social”. You’ll never hear it the same way again.

Thanks Edgy! I knew it would take my numbers/body in the right direction, and I’m giving it a billion percent in there. Despite the huge crowd, stupid 12 sided plates, and retards that frequent it, it’s helping be reach OVER 9000 so I can’t complain.

I <3 inspiring others, bullshitting or not, love it.

Hit it and kill it, every. single. time.

LWI

Btw were you using strong bands?

Yeah, those are the only ones I have other than the pro monster mini’s, for now. Eventually I’ll get more of a variety though

Cool. Variety will be nice some time in the future, but for now I’m quite happy with my 4 avg bands and 1 mini band

This trainer chick was next to me last night with a client, using a band of some sort. When I noticed that as I walked up, I thought “Oh, she’s going to love this” and bam, I start climbing all over the cage rigging up my shit. She gave me a very strange look, it was great, I love being “different”
