Thanks Herc, I decided I wanted 2 meets to compare at the same weight. If I hit super meet PR’s (I mean, WHEN I HIT THEM) it will be more awesome doing it in the same weight class, right? And when I step off of that scale, I’m opening my gatorade/water gallon just that’s chillin right now, and plan on destroying it.

Also some coconut water, sammiches, burritos, small children, will all be consumed. Then I’ll eat a killer breakfast and drink a shit load more water/gatorade, and go into the meet ready to fucking wreck my old numbers. I’ll toss some salt in the drink mix, thanks for the tip!

So I went to bed @ 202.5 on my home scale (which I brought with me to work today) and woke up at 202. I guess being already dehydrated doesn’t lead to much weight loss over night. Well, 430 this morning I was in a hot ass bath for 15 minutes, then let the shower run on hot while I soaked in the steamy, sweaty hell. Results? 200.0. Brought my scale to work, so I can monitor my progress as the day goes on. At lunch, I’ll walk for 30 minutes in the 245348 degree heat, and sweat a bit more. After work, drive to gym, get on scale, and either drink myself back up to the 210 area (although, when I returned from NH on Sunday I was 213 (bloaty and fat), so I’ve pushed it pretty hard)…OR, I’ll go find the nearest sauna and hang there for a bit until I’m good. I feel crappy, but not completely shitty. I could whip someone’s ass if need be :slight_smile: Probably 60-70% of “normal”.

I got this shit, just part of the game. Tomorrow…death to light 1RMs!

Never was a wrestler, and am pretty much a newb at the whole “making weight” thing, but I did research and think I got a handle on it. Kroc’s article for EFS where he described how he cut 30 pounds for a 24hr weigh in (and also just 15lbs in 22 hours) is where I got most of my “sweating it out” tips, with water manipulation tips I’ve gotten from The Mighty Stu and the “Making Weight” article on EFS the other day. It’s not hard, but it sucks, that’s all. Crazy to think that at the end of this, I’ll have come down 15 pounds in 5 days. VDiet, who? LOL

Weigh in is from 5-7pm today, and then opens at 830 tomorrow morning for an hour before the meet starts. I’ll leave work @ 330 and take the hour drive over to the gym, and see if I can find the scale they’ll be using, to see where I’m at. If I can keep skimming off .2lbs every 2 hours, I should be at 199 when I leave, and then a hot and sweaty drive over…boom, roasted, lol. We’ll see though.

Oh, and of course, they’re doing a BBQ at work today, and guess who’s grilling?

The cut…is complete. Currently, on my scale I brought from home, I’m down to 198.4. I sweated while working the grill for my employees, which helped. Another 4.5 hours from now and I’ll be even lighter, which should help me in any difference in the two scales. I hope!

I’ll never do that again, but its cool knowing I made it. I’ve eaten a turkey sammich, poptarts, and almost a half gallon of fluid. Chilling out before I drive to my next eating place, so I don’t fall into a food coma.
