Ok, so I’ve figured out how I’m going to be able to keep training, despite having cancelling my gym membership. I’m just going to get a free week pass at 3 different gyms around town, and train at home the final week before my meet. In this time, I’m going to be coming into some money for bills and the leftover (which there will hopefully be a grand) will go into finally finishing the home dungeon off with a platform I’ll build, and a full cage with more weights. From that point, after the meet, I’ll say “Fuck the 198’s” and get to the 220’s, which is where my body tends to want to lean towards anyway, and I’ll see what kind of damage I can do over the next few years of training in the man-cave at home.

First gym is a stupid 24 hour fitness, but it’s free.

sounds like you’ve got a solid plan. When I got out of the military I was hitting up the week long passes at different gyms and strung that out for a whole month. Its a little bit of a hassle but you’ll be able to do it for sure and get your training in. Good plan brah

Thanks Brah. I know it’ll be a bit of a hassle to make it work, but I think I can handle it. Setting PR’s in every gym, that’s a goal I’ve got, haha. Yes, setting PR’s close to a meet might not be the smartest thing, but I did it before and it paid off, so fuck it!

Aaaalllllrighty then. Made it in to the nearest 24HR Doucheness, to train for free for a week, and it was…decent? The dude that typed up my paperwork for my pass was all “You want a tour of the place?” and I said “No, I think I can figure it out, thanks” lol. He looked at me for a second and said “Yeah, you look like you’ve been to a gym before” (Really? Sweet!)

Anyway, we’re talking as he’s typing, and he offers me some “Jack3d”, since he’s got it and I said I hadn’t tried that one before. So he hooked me up, which was cool, and I got a pretty decent workout afterwards, to which I’ll attribute…15% to the supp. Ok, maybe 10, but I was seating balls afterwards, so I was happy.

Quick rundown of the place, 1 squat rack, 1 cage, 2 flat benches, 2 adjustable benches, DBs to 125 (I think), and filled with the worst fucking form displayers/advice givers I’ve seen to date. Fuck, it was horrendous. Mr "I’ve got the smallest rear delts, but I’mma show you guys how to do your rear delt raises better (which was a fail, everyone knows you lead with your pinkies on that one, but whatever…). Mr “1/4 depth squat jumps”.

Mr "Try to make my abs parallel to the ceiling at the end ROM of the DL…fuck. STAY IN THE ZONE i kept thinking, haha. But, all of the BBs were like the 1 good one at the last gym, so looking forward to pulling and squatting this week.

Hell no. I had my shirt on that I got from my powerlifting meet, and was using bands and chalk and shit, so everyone was looking at me like “da fuck is this guy?” and I just shot them this look…seriously, I did.
