Greg, Everyone was safe. My wife said people were pulling their kids out of the pool to get inside, and she was like ādealwithit.gifā at first, until the swim coach was like āTime to go!ā She drove home through some of that shit, and said it was worse where she was at. Hooray AZ monsoon season!
Herc, never been in a blizzard myself, but these sand storms are nasty. This was a huge one, I guess it was like 7000ā high, 50 miles wide and moved at 50mph. Everything this morning was covered in dust. Gross.
Masch, thank you, and I did give the desk guy a farewell head-nod. I left my top hat at home. The storms last like 15-30 minutes usually, and most of the times are followed by the heavy ass rains that we can get. So far though, weāve just seen wind and dust, with no rain. Damnit!

So, last nights treadmill work was intervals on a 7% incline. I tried to run at 6,7,8,9,10,11,12 mph for a bit, with a minute of walking in between sets. 6, 7, 8, and 9 I held the run for a minute, 10 was maybe 30 seconds, 11 and 12ā¦were like 10 seconds MAX. Fuck, thought I was going to shoot off the back of that bitch.

AZ monsoon season is carayzee (I lived in Snotsdale for a year), itās like the desert sandblasts everything then washes it all off in 30 minutes.
Well, I havenāt even signed up at the other gym yet, as I havenāt been able to get hooked up with that sweet deal yet. Iāve been busy as hell anyway, that I donāt even think Iād have had time to lift if I was a member. I got some shit to work on so I can hopefully just get my home gym in order. If I canāt get into some serious training soon, I think Iāll hold off on competing for a little while longer, and maybe just go into the 220 class where Iām at. I think thereās a meet in October thatās USAPL around here, I could do that when Iām more comfortable. Lifeās crazy sometimes, and we all just gotta roll with it, amirite?
And now, I havenāt been back to Africa yet, but I have been shooting a bow and Iām completely hooked on wanting to take something down with an arrow.
Oh, and monsoons are cool when the rain slams down, but we havenāt had ANY rain yet. Shitās pissing me off!
