I hear you Mainy, it’s just this thought in my mind like “damn, if I get used to squatting more frequently, I’ll be able to push it even harder.” Then, at a meet, won’t be so drained from a max attempt and still have plenty for benching and pulling. I dunno, I have a hard time committing to anything, I’m surprised I’ve stuck to westside for this long. It haven’t failed me yet, so why fuck with it?

Also that method was used by that coaches athletes. Meaning the coach was picking the weights and monitoring his athletes and adjusting accordingly. So I think unless you had that particular coach helping you it might be a fail.

Of coarse there is the PLP 60 day challenge article. Which has you doing lunges pullups and pushups every day. So…

Personally I think it is best to stick to what is working and then change it when it stops working.

By the way, on the DE Bench itself, dont keep switching weight every set. Change it by the week - example - right now PeteS has me doing Week 1: 155+bands, Week 2: 185+bands, Week 3: 205+bands, repeat.

Hey, I did the same # of exercises, AND some stupid stairs (37 flights), AND…um, and…fuck, I’m a pussy. I’ll make up for it tonight, as it’s the last night at this gym and last night with a cage for a little while, so I’m thinking reverse band squats for ME? (Max effort, not me personally, but actually, yes…for ME!) PR’s are in order. runs back to check last RB squat max…
