DF, I’d say it worked well. Lockout was a motherfucker after 6-8 reps. I’d imagine using two bands would be damn near impossible with 185 for me, right now.

Built the frame of a table yesterday, gotta find some good wood (LOL) to use for the top. Pine isn’t going to cut it. Had a good Father’s day, wood working and what not with my girls. Even took Little Miss to Home Depot and let her ride on the cart with some lumber. She loved it, as I did when I was a kid. Of course everyone in the store was like “Aww she’s so cute helping daddy”, and I mean…she was :wink:

Traps are stupid sore from the Devils Complex the other day. Should be back to my regular scheduled lifting now. ME Lower Monday, here I come!

It doesn’t look bad at all. That’s why it’s like, “Oh cool, I’ll just do 3 sets and be on my merry little way” and then the next day you wake up like FFFFUUUUUUUUU!!

You should at least try it. You’re not going to have ginormous traps blow up after 1 session. Well, maybe :slight_smile:

Mother of god! I tried Greg’s pullup/dip/pushup pyramid and I think I might have died for a minute. Took me 19:26 to finish it, in the back shop at work, in jeans and no AC, IN ARIZONA! Hey, I gotta add as much handicap as I can!

Comes to a total of 50 pullups, 50 dips, and 125 pushups. It sucks. I don’t recommend it!

Didn’t get to my lower body training last night, as “life” was the priority and I was too tired to go to the gym at 10pm. Hope to get to it tonight.

When I got on the pullup bar for the first set of 8, I was like “Fuck this retarded shit”

Then when I finished 10’s, I was like “Oh, that’s enough, isn’t it?!?!”

Then I thought “Let’s see if I can finish in under 20:00” and I did!

^^hahaha yeah I told you the 8,10,8 part is the worst… after that you’re like “I’m home free!!!”

Honestly, after I was done with the 6 I was like, “I got this” but before that I was a little unsure.

So greg or ink help me out here. Is that 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,9…1 reps for pullups then dips then pushups circuit style till finished? Just curious, sounds like a fun twisted challenge to do condioning type stuff.

Here’s how Greg explained it:

2 pull ups, 2 dips, 5 pushups
4 pull ups, 4 dips, 10 pushups
ect…

You go up by 2’s on the pull ups/dips and by 5’s on the pushups.

once you hit 10, 10, 25 you go back down

2,2,5
4,4,10
6,6,15
8,8,20
10,10,25
8,8,20
6,6,15
4,4,10
2,2,5

As many minisets as it takes to reach the desired number of reps is fine, as long as you hit the reps needed before advancing to the next exercise. It’s brutal, believe me! I’m sore as shit today in my chest, lats, and tris.

Just like Ink said, break it up into mini sets if you have to (you probably will unless you’re a beast) I was doing my pushups in 2’s and 3’s by the end of the second time through. It was brutal.

Warmed up at home while the wife was running, 1 zercher squat with 135, to get the bar from my pins to where I could get a better setup on it. Surprisingly, my biceps didn’t explode off (lulz @ that rediculous thread). Then I did 5 sets of 5 @ 135 squats. Then stretched a bit and drove to the gym.

It’s a monster, you’ve come up with Greg. I think the upping by 2’s and 5’s is the key, rather than by 1’s or something. Nastyness.
