Um…hey there
(By the way, I “won the internet” with this pic earlier, in the “chipped tooth” thread.
Well done my friend!
Thanks. I’m sure you posted that shit at one point, which is why I thought to use it.
Pretty much just had the crappiest workout I can remember. Didn’t feel up to going but I did anyway, and paid for it. Numbers pretty much useless, I’ll list some of the failness tomorrow.
We all have bad days, but today blew ass. I’ll make up for it this weekend hopefully
I will kill it Kalle, no doubt. And yeah, I’ve used the term “epileptic dolphin” in the past to describe something else, but that’s a lot like crossfit pullups. Speaking of pullups, I DID 5 last night, but also not really worth mentioning.
First off, I veered from my scheduled workout (DE Lower) because I felt like deadlifting heavy. Unfortunately, my grip SUCKED yesterday. I almost dropped a 315 DL, and needed straps to pull 365, and then said fuckit and threw the bands on it to get a few reps, then a single at 415.
I couldn’t get into anything, nothing felt right. Plus, there was some fucking retards in the gym last night. no offense to anyone, but they were fitness retarded. There was 1 guy with some hope, he was using the gym’s weird bands rigged up to a BB and hitting 225# cleans, so that was nice. But the guy doing 1/32 squats in the smith was annoying. Then…oh fuck…there was a dude with a band rigged up on the deadlift station thing, doing band BB shrugs. Yes, it was just lovely.
Anyway, I think I need to not veer off like a wandering child, and stick to what’s designed with the conjugate method. There’s probably a reason there isn’t 3 ME sessions in a 4 day period, right? DE Upper this weekend, and we’ll kick shit off fresh next week.
Also, conditioning to be done.
And I’m going to run a mile this weekend maybe, to see how slow I am. I don’t think i’ve ran since the half marathon in January. Haha, this should be comical
Since you felt like hell, thought a picture about going through hell was appropriate.
Ink its okay, just on your next ME session do a DE session. It was mentioned somewhere that if your feeling good and want to go heavy go ahead and do it. But the next session just do a DE session. Just a suggestion. Focus man focus.

Eat my dust! EAT IT!
And LWI, of course.
ps. Meh, off days. They happen. Live to kill it another day, my friend.

You’ll get it done bro.
Dude, that picture is 100% perfection. Thanks for posting it.
I’ll do a solid DE session next (upper, and keep it upper) and get re-focused.
Masch, you’ll beat me I’m sure, but I outweigh you by like a billion pounds, so that’s my “handicap”
Speaking of weight, after watching that “Powerlifting in Prison” video in the PL forum, I’m going to just get big and strong. I’ll still try do the 198 class in August, but be stronger obviously, and the next meet I’ll space it out to where I can fill out the 220 class and not be a superfatty.

My Uncle Jesse told me that Powerlifting in Prison has a whole other meaning.
Just sayin.
and…FTR. Uncle Jesse had those tubes put in his ears. then went on to lead a life of crime and prison.
not sure if its related, but keep an eye on your kids, knowwhatImean?
My brother’s name is Jesse, which makes your post that much more interesting.
Oh, and I realized why my grip blew ass last night!
I never pull double overhand over 300, just never feels right. Well, not shit, dumbass…I never switched my grip last night. It just came to me as I was walking in the building. “AHA!!..fml, idiot”
I’ve got the PERFECT tattoo idea… Ok so you should get the one of the Kudoo looking straight ahead… thats the one to get. And you should get it right above your, uhhh… right about YOUR 'kudoo"! That way the antlers can go up your stomach and outline the little hip dip crease thin. and when you’re shirtless it’ll like like you got some badass horns coming out of your pants.
and then when its sexy time with the lady you can tell her “try to tame the beast” BOOM! Perfect!
Sorry about your lame ass workout. You must have been hanging out in my log too long and caught whatever I had (probably ‘teh workouts ghey’ more than likely)
Just Remember a great man once said:
With a true champion face to face with his darkest hour, will do whatever it takes to rise above. A man fights, and fights, and then fights some more. Because surrender is death, and death is for pussies.
And my ass aint no pussy. My ass is a fucking champion.
Greg, That tattoo would work out if I had hawt abz like yourself, although I don’t know if 3 horns coming out of my pants would look good or not
I might need to get that snake lasered off my back and then throw the Kudu right there, horns reaching out towards my rear delts. Or on my side, horns going to my scapula and nipple? Or on my face. Yeah, make my face look like a kudu’s face, yeah that’s it…
Ok, westside/conjugate veterans, a question about DE upper training. Is BB benching against bands with light weight for speed reps the only primary exercise? Can I do it on an incline, or with DB’s or something or what? I don’t think I’ve seen anything different as the primary movement on that day, just a variety of accessory shit.
DixiesFinest wrote:
Its always speed bench with a barbell as the first movement, though you can do it against bands, with chains, or straight weight.
Thank you, kind sir. Maybe I’ll just go straight weight this time, it’s “faster” that way, without having to rig it all up.
DE bench is BB only. I’ve actually never done it against bands, but I’ve had some injury setbacks. What I’ve done is switched out the bar for some specialized bars that our gym has. Your gym doesn’t have any different bars you could you, does it? If not, I would recommend switching from bands to straight weight every other cycle or if you feel like you need something different.

ME TOO! Theme song for today below. Lifting was terrible. No endorphin rush. Any my belly is poking out in a very unattractive way. Need some beefcake pantyhose. Generally feeling like poop. MEH! Tomorrow we will be back on our game, Ink.
