Thanks Major, that helps a lot. There’s so many cues to go through soing this PL shit, I can ner remember all of them every time. This weekend I’ll focus on bar bending with the lats on DE day, and again next week on ME day. Thanks. And yes, that’s the guitar! I really wish he’d get back into it, and he might still someday when his life calms down to the point that he can devote 30+ hours to building something like that. He made some really amazing shit, and I’d love if he could do it again. Hey, I’d even help out for free!

Well, I’m an uncle (again) after last night. My brother and his wife now have a little baby boy, so congrats to them. My wife was waiting for the mom to be all ready for visitors so she could go see him, and it took a long time after they said “Just going to get cleaned up and then you can head over”…so over 2 hours later, she got to go for a bit. I was waiting for her to come back so I could make it to the gym. I got there, but it was late, and after setting up my bands and shit for squats, it was almost 10:20 (which is when I usually leave the gym on a “late” night). BUT…I got it goin

Holy shit I was DYING. If you’ve got bands, do these. You can hook the band to the release lever of the handles on the leg press. They’re awesome.

Done. Didn’t have time for calves, as I was fucking tired. BUT, I needed gas on the way home, so I did 75 standing calf raises while the tank was filling up. 4 sets, 35/15/15/10

5 hours sleep last night, so tonight will be an off day, DE upper tomorrow sometime

Edit: For the lulz, my total poundage moved last night was OVER 9000!!

Oh, and PS…I love the looks I get training like a powerlifter. Hilarious!

PPS, checked out a potential new gym, for if we ever decide to drop this one. Much smaller, a lot less extra shit, but they’ve got a half rack on a lifting platform, a squat rack, some benches, and a LOT less people. Guy said after 8pm they’re practically empty in the “powerlifting area”. Excellent, I’ll keepo that in mind. Oh, and round plates :wink:

I’ll see how hard it it doing them with one of my strong bands, looks awesome. He’s also got a video of setting up a cage for reverse band bench, for those interested…but he’s got 3 guys doing it, doing it solo is an art!

I’ve done band good mornings to warm up before DLs.

Setting up solo is an art, one that I’m starting to get down.

I always do band goodmornings as a warm up on a deadlift day, I think its good as an activation exercise as you can really focus on feeling your glute activation and good form while being explosive. I do them slightly different though, i lay the back of the band across the back of my shoulders, bend over and stand on the bands so they are under the arch of my feet, grabbing the bands as he does with my hands.

Hey at least ya’lls calfs look somewhat symetrical on you and being closer to 3/4 size of your quads, mine are about half the size of my quads. Makes them look smaller.

ok just measured… flexed right calf 15.25" I guess by “just a hair under” i meant “a quarter inch under” lulz. Also measured my arm and it wasnt even 17 anymore. I’m gonna go cry myself to sleep now

Dude, your quads are probably like 87" though, so don’t worry about it. Mine are a wee little 23, which makes me feel far inferior to someone like Veggie who’s got those rocking 26’s. Whatever…I’ll get there someday!
