Lunges are Becoming a Grip Exercise

Congratulations. I’m having trouble trying to understand what squatting has to do with grip strength. For whatever reason, genetics, poor training, I can lunge a greater a load than my forearms are able to withstand at the END of a workout for 10 reps. Doesn’t sound too crazy to me.

I don’t see how you don’t get it. Your lower body strength will have some correlation on how much you lunge. I do not see how someone can’t hold whatever pound dumbells. I doubt you can do lunges with 150s. But I find if amazing that someone can’t hold 30S, 90S or whatever for say ten reps a side.
