For as long as I can remember, I have had a lump in my left breast. I ask my dad about it and he too has one also.I am 45 and since I have been on androgel it hasen’t gotton any bigger, but since I started the ten grams a day, that’s four pumps of 1% it has been sore. I just wonder if it’s estrogen? Ive been on androgel for about 5 months. Any thoughts on this?
My thoughts are you should check with your doctor. Since you say you have had it for a very long time and it has not grown I would thing it might be a muscle knot or a cyst, but I am not a doctor. Men do get breast cancer, I am not trying to scare you but you should not fool around with this --have it checked out
I had a similar situation about 1 year ago. The lump was sore sometimes but not real bad. I went to the dr who sent me to a general surgeon who cut it out. The procedure took about 60 minutes and I did get put under. I was in and out of the hospital in about 6 hours. Some pain for a week or so after but not real bad and I could not train for 4 weeks. The lump turned out to be fatty tumor and not cancer. And also the scar is not real visible.
I agree that you should see a doc. If it is a begnine(sp?) tumor, I think they can laser those out now; cutting down on the discomfort. Either way, it is out patient surgery and you will be back on your feet when the sleepy drugs wear off.
Thanks, I am going to see him today…
Let us know how it works out.
