Lowering Testosterone for TRT Blood Test

Hey guys,

I have a naturally low test level that is in the very low 300s verified by a few blood tests over the past few years. I was at this level even prior to my first cycle so its not AAS related. My doctor will only consider putting me on TRT if my levels are in the low 200s as my level is currently in the “normal” lab test range even though its at the bare minimum.

My doctor wants to repeat blood tests for me again to see if it has fluctuated at all. What would the best way for me to go about temporarily lowering my test level below 250 so that I would be below this range? I have some left over NPP that I could use a couple days prior to my blood test. Would this work? How early prior to my test should I do this and how much should I use?

Also, what would be the best way of increasing my test level, after my blood test, back to the low 300s? Would I just run a short clomid/nolva PCT? I know there are other ways to temporarily lower your test level such as staying up 24 hours and being hungover before blood draw. I may considering trying these as well…

Any advice?

Don’t know about the NPP but I have heard anecdotal evidence that the other things you mention will work to a limited extent. Not sure how much. Your much bigger problem is your doctor. If he is only willing to treat you if your TT number is close to 200 then he will probably be thrilled if any treatment he gives you raises you up to 300 or so. Then the next time you get tested you will go through the same thing.

Much better spending your efforts finding a doctor who either understands HRT or is willing to learn. Based on the information in your post, I do not think that is the kind of doctor you have. Call a few compound pharmacies and ask what doctors they work with for male HRT. They are usually happy to refer you. Best of luck.

These things may work to a limited extent but the bottom line is you have a doctor who does not understand TRT. If he thinks you have to be near 200 before he will help you, you will fight this battle on an on-going basis. What are you going to do, go through this charade every time you have to get tested? Face the fact: you have all these issues and you are at 300 and he won’t help unless you get worse. Put your efforts toward finding a better doctor fast.

You could quite simply not sleep before hand.

Find a new DR…If you are going to go back on gear then why even bother…Your wasting the Dr and your time. I had a case of this other day, guy with low T wants to get levels up, then hes going to go back on gear. I put alot of time into finding out what was out of balance which was several things explaining why his levels could be low. Then the truth came out… If your going to play thats on you, but you are going to pay later…
