Lowering Dose Side Effects

Hi guys,

Would really appreciate your advice.

I took the advice of someone and bumped my weekly T dosage up to 250mg a week (MWF protocol). Needless to say I crashed and crashed hard. Started having panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, shocking sleep and bad sleep.

I took the advice of some of you fine gentlemen and ended up dropping down to 112mg a week (daily protocol). Ive been doing this for a week and have felt shocking (all the symptoms above and a couple more).

Question, how long can I expect to feel this bad? Have I gone about this the right way or should I have done the lowering of the dose more slowly?

TIA

You probably should have tapered as suggested in the last post you made

Either way, you need to give it time - it’s only been a month since you made the change. Labs would help, as mentioned last time.

Still got those big doses working their way around your system. Takes me 3 weeks to really feel any differences

Thanks mate. Always appreciate your feedback.

I had to go back on SSRIs and start a benzo because of this horrible experience.

I am experiencing somewhat the opposite, i have been on M,W,F protocol 120 mg per week for the past 2 years, 40 mg each day i pin, and under that protocol i feel i am “dialed in” but some times i get some axiety and bad sleep but not often only from time to time, if i add any other compound (which is besides the point i know) it is completely impossible to sleep.
About 10 days ago just to try i went back to Twice per week injections (60 mg per shot), which was my original protocol since 2017 up until half of 2020 and i can say injection frequency makes a lot of difference at least in my case.
Right off the bat no oily skin on my forehead a lot but a lot less hairloss, much better sleep also by a lot, i gained like 2 pounds (which i assume is water) but what has me kinda worried is that i notice less libido also a lot less, hoping it is just an adjusting period, i´ll wait longer to draw conclusions.
Regarding E2 control i must say that i have tryed everything, pinning Ed, EOD, Twice per week, 3 x per week with no luck, subq(worse in my case) Shallow IM, IM, with no luck i still need a small dose of arimidex to control my E2 and feel good.

Sounds like your E2 may have been too high for you and now your body is adjusting to a lower dose but E2 is not reflecting it yet. I have dropped TRT altogether and felt great missing 1-2 weeks of it quicker. That is of course going by the basis my dose was “too high” for what ever reason.

How are you feeling great after dropping it? i mean, what did you do to restore HPTA, hcg, clomid, enclo??

Let me explain in that I didnt drop it entirely, but dropped for say over a week, the symptoms of “too much TRT” went away and I felt better. Say you make a radical change like you did I am a believer in dropping T for maybe 2 weeks, let your levels go down and start from scratch on the new protocol. A soft reset in a sense, clearly there is something with too much androgen in your system that is not sitting well with you. Tapering could prolong that in one way or another. Just my take and hypothesis but it has worked for me in the past in that if you are to make a radical change going lower dose no need to slow play it.
