Hey all,
I was taking 70mg test cy 2x a week along with 1mg week of arimidex split over 4 doses. This put me at about 1200 total t and 11 e2 (I’m aware you’ll think that was too low).
Anyway because of accelerating hair loss and concerns about ai I decided to lower my dose to 120mg total and no ai. I did this about 2 weeks ago. I recall when I briefly ran at 130mg my test was much lower (around 800).
Anyway it’s been 2 weeks and for the last few days have felt listless and gloomy. I have depression issues but this feels qualitatively different. I doubt this is all in my head because it just dawned on me today to wonder if it was the reduced dose. So my questions are:
- Might I feel a difference in just two weeks if I’d reduced my t dose?
- If so, might this be a short term thing? Might (and I don’t really know what I’m talking about here), my testosterone receptors have down regulated and now need to upregulate to adjust to new dose?
I realize that a lower dose may just not work for me, I’m just wondering at what point I should decide it isn’t working.
Thanks!
Probably still too early to tell. I’d give it another few weeks before getting blood work and exploring the effects of changing your dose.

Like iron_yuppie said its still too early…4 to 6 weeks and gauge from there. Do you take any other supplements? Do you have recent blood work results you can put up for us to see?

It takes a minimum of 6 weeks to your body to adapt to dosing changes. You cannot know if lowering the dosage will not work unless you give it enough time, you are just looking for a way out of how you feel, if you don’t allow your body time to get used to the new dosage, I don’t imagine you’ll ever feel good on TRT if you don’t give it enough time.
Everyone feels a little off after a dosage change.

Feeling a bit off as well but who gives a fuck it’s only been 2 weeks for me as well. Patience is the name of the game. Everything else clicks good. Excited to see labs in 6-8 weeks time.

Give it time mate, as everyone is suggesting. Then manage from there.
11 for E2 is too low. Back off the anastrozole or stop it completely

Did you even read the post? He already stated he stopped it.
Op need to give at least 4 more weeks for things to settle down. Then gauge symptoms and labs.
Thank you for clarifying all knowing Charlie.
And FYI no I usually don’t have time to read the entire thread.
Np. I do the same thing. But am just a regular joe
