Hello all. Pretty uneventful history with trt I had settled on a dose of 130 which put me just over 1000 total T however my E2 has creeped up to 60( only on one test had been in normal range on others) anyways for whatever reason I wanted to experiment with dosage so for last 5 weeks I went up to 200mg week.
At this dose I found less libido, noodle erection and shrunken flaccid size.
So I’m going to drop back down to 130 or possibly 125mg a week.
Question is do I drop right to it or do I titrate down? Also do you think high e2 was reason for sexual symptoms and if so how long does it take for e2 to drop after dropping T dose?
Thanks all
For me, for whatever it is worth, I found it takes a few months, not six weeks, to see the real impact of a change in my regime.
Drop right down. The ester will titrate for you
Ya I get that too however just numbers wise I’m going to be way over physiological at 200 which isn’t what I want for long term health
When making changes to my T dosage, I found that 5 weeks wasn’t enough time for my body to adjust. I’d say give it 8 weeks minimum.
I’m lowering regardless
A 5mg reduction off your weekly dose isn’t going to amount to much, 10mg minimum reduction is recommended.
For all we know you might have an even stronger libido at lower levels than 1000.
It could be many different things because hormones affect so many other systems.
Regarding E… people will never learn. E of 60 is fine. Ive been there and its just a number. Anyway please the number gods and let your uneventful TRT become eventful. If it aint broke dont fix it
not great with reading comp I see
Im not insulted by your comment at all. My previous statement is choppy and not clear.
You changed your dose based on how your flaccid dick appeared to you, and the noodle dick thing is understandable. But you havent given it time. Things went into flux, It can be worrisome and Ive been there, but I stuck with the program, things got back to normal. At 200mg things get real good or scary for some. But you have to allow time for it to work properly. Now you’re making a change again when nothing is broken, its all in flux. Its weird and scary… but take cialis, workout and watch how it all gets better. Anyway, you can lower it immediately or stick with the 200mg and get through the flux period. Its simply something happens when you make a big change.
And no it wasnt the E of 60 alone which caused your issues. Its the fluctuation of all your hormones affected by the increase in T. The stimulation of RBCs, increase in HCT, and your CVS’ ability to deal with the changes in your blood. Sleep and protein synthesis changed so if you were not eating properly or sleeping well these will compound the state that your body is in. Everything is to blame especially the change in protocol.
No problem appreciate the clarification. Work out and diet are on point. Hard to say this without sounding arrogant but muscular wise I have no issues. My reasons for wanting to drop was the realization that at 130mg I’m over 1100 TT so at 200 I’m going to be considerably over which long term is not consistent with my goal of TRT for health. My decision to go on trt was not to increase muscularity but rather to be healthier (cv etc) to be true to that I feel aTT in the high “normal” range is the way to go.
