Lower Back...pain in the ass

I tried a new excersise three days ago…I was doing bicep curls on a cable machine lying on my back…this apparently allows for strict form …the only problem was i did’nt bend my knees and the weight transfer went up through my spine…I am feeling a disruption in my scyatic nerve, giving me a pain in my right upper hamstring…does anyone know how i can work this out…the pain is’nt too severe, so i figure i did’nt do any disk injury (I hope)…how do i excersise this problem away…I don;t know what hurts more the pain or the fact I can’t workout hardcore right now…thanks

sounds like a disc bulge with refered pain the bulge sounds to be in the L5/S1/S2 area.

You need to regear your training to correct your posture, strengthen your core musculature, and centralize the disc.

If it is indeed a disc hernia, all I can say is good luck! It’s a long long road to recovery and life will never be the same again. I herniated my L5/S1 about 4 years ago and I’m still not fully recovered. I don’t think I ever will!
